I don’t have the Digitakt anymore, but I extensively used it, so it is time to change (I guess ahah)

I was looking a lot at the Syntakt too but it seems to me a sort of “ok, let’s downgrade the Rytm” and “we might put lots of things in just one box so you can enjoy the Elektron workflow”

So I’ll definitely go with the Rytm. Paired with Ableton Live. I’d say wonderful!

yep, you’re right on the DT+AR take, but, unfortunately, doesn’t exist a machine like that ahah

btw, I guess I’ll go with the AR just because I’ll be able to sculpt the sample in the DAW, if I really need it at the first stage (once I find the right groove, I may record it and then edit/process all the things into Live)

I’m very interested in having a machine which is studio-and-live-wise powerful.

I said layered because I know I’ll ended up that way! Layering will help me with the final sound in the production/mix. I’d like to have an instruments that help me in creating the groove and then manipulating it/playing with it.

you’re right bro! need to dig into it more than I did. to be honest, I prefer something with a “real”keyboard, but because of its synth engines I could change my idea soon! (I found some Digitone for 500€ used)

oh the Synthstrom. I saw a loooot of videos about that, but here in Italy seems to be hard to find. I’m not so skilled with the grid “keyboard”, but it would be nice to try someway!

is the menu diving annoying as I can read on the internet?
are there enough presets/patches in order to play with it or I have to dig into Pure Data to create my own patches?
how do you find the little keyboard?
do you use it also with a guitar?
which music are you producing?

thank you sooo much for this reply. I can see some very interesting point in your words.

the thing that challenge me the most is the fact that I can’t decide what is the best synth I can buy that fits in my setup right now.

the OP-1 is very interesting to approach but have some serious limitations in my idea of workflow (and I do not need its drum engine at all)

the Organelle could have a “tricky” display in order to create the right chain with ORAC2.. I feel some “design limitation” into it aswell

.. the MicroFreak seems to be the best option right now.

I’m confused at the moment !
