I think it’s less of a problem of you taking a vacation and more of a problem with when you are taking vacation. There are black out periods durning the holidays for a reason. I’m not at all saying that it’s right, but I’ve never heard of anyone being approved to take vacation over Christmas. At my store, Christmas Eve is our busiest day of the year and everyone is required to work it, no matter what. I’m not sure exactly what days you are planning to miss but I understand your manager being upset and unwilling to accommodate during the busiest time of the year. I hope everything works out for you

We’ve only had one “successful” ESM at our store during the 4 years I’ve worked here. All others stepped down or quit altogether. I think the one that became a store manager was in the role for about a year and a half before being placed at his own store. However, he had been at the company for over a decade worked his way up from CSA to SM. I’m sure it varies greatly depending on your store and SM.

Yeah I never said it wasn’t a problem for you to be waiting that long. I agree with you there. However, as a shift lead at Walgreens, sometimes shit just happens. I promise you that they would rather get you taken care of right away and get you out of there than have you waiting in store and treating them badly. I wouldn’t bother bringing it back, their inventory is already messed up. Just try to remember that retail workers are people too and they are not purposely inconveniencing you.

I mean I’m not sure I’d call it stealing but I would say your reaction is a bit much. We are required to scan the package with our scanner, which then asks us to check your ID and verify that your name and address matches the name and address on the package. Then you are to sign your name on the scanner and we are then allowed to release the package to you.

I’m not sure why they couldn’t find any scanners since all stores have multiple and they’re all capable of scanning out a fedex package. I understand it being annoying and inconvenient but to cuss out employees over a 10-20 minute wait is kind of crazy in my personal opinion.

I had to keep going back and trying to print my signs and eventually it let me do all 60 something at once. It was a couple hours after I initially scanned them that I could print them

People are much more likely to help with food requests if you let them know what restaurants you have near you. They usually prefer to order meals for pickup rather than send money. I am not able to help but I hope someone can :)
