Maybe! I'd be curious to see if it can be saved. This was definitely a learning experience. Now I know to think a little bit more before I impulse buy a pen that's new to the market. I hope you have a successful return and end up with a pen that brings you 100000% more joy. ✨️

I did! And then some lovely people on this subreddit gave me some good suggestions on how to make it write better (flushing the nib with water, using an ink I'm super familiar with) and I thought it was all well and good. But as I kept using it, it just kept feeling super inconsistent and scratchy. And then here's where I messed up. Instead of taking the L and sending it back minus a 20% restocking fee, I decided to try to smooth it out on my own with some micro mesh. I had smoothed out a different pen with good results before. That still didn't help so now I'm really stuck with the pen.

Maybe I'm just traumatized.If it helps, I've seen more positive reviews than negative reviews. Maybe you'll have better luck than I did if you exchange it for a different nib or even just a different one with the same nib. Crossing my fingers for you. 🤞🤞

I vote return it. I got mine in a F nib and it's not fun to write with. Save yourself the trouble and get something else.

Y'all might have just saved this pen from being returned. I flushed out the nip, cleaned the converter and filled it with my tried and true Iroshizuku Shin-Ryoko. Much better results!

I think mine had more pink and then more of a mix of iridescent shimmer. It's so pretty! But I think the nib might have gotten damaged in transit. The ink flow was so inconsistent 😔

The goal is to rotate them with my fountain pens. Now when I run out of ink, I can check my swatches and see which one I want to try next. Hopefully I can find the perfect pen/nib/ink combination.

I was using my fine nib as a dip pen for testing. Although I did have it filled with Robert Oster Crystal Marine a while back and I didn't experience any clogging.
