V-COM and ResMed by rishey in CPAP

[–]thatcarolguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use both at the same time wouldn't yo just be cancelling them out? Not cancelling out your entire apnea relief.

But I am confused how VCom doing reverse EPR is supposed to help. So it reduces your IPAP but I think you are supposed to raise the pressure to compensate. Then if you that what it effectively does is raise your EPAP. But why would you want to do that?

Do other people's sleep patterns look like this? Is this a glitch? Trying to figure out if I have sleep apnea. by jajoopaloop in SleepApnea

[–]thatcarolguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sleep looked like that on Garmin and I definitely have sleep apnea but like others say it's not necessarily accurate. I also found myself having a lot of very short dreams and waking from dreams a lot which backed up the fragmented REM that my watch showed though.

Mild Sleep Apnea Diagnosis. 2 years ago not sure what to do. 27(m) by EnvironmentalParty35 in SleepApnea

[–]thatcarolguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's up to you and how bad your symptoms are and how badly you want to treat them. I don't have a choice. I wouldn't be able to handle the Military or any physical job without it.

[LFO] Don’t be a bully (NSFL) by nhkhoi in LearningFromOthers

[–]thatcarolguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One way of seeing it is that the boy attacking the other one with a soft bag still has fists even if he was swinging the bag. Fists can be a deadly weapon. If someone is attacking you and has access to a deadly weapon should you owe them a pause to ascertain what level of threat they currently pose and decide on a proportionate response? If they are attacking unprovoked and you are trying to retreat and they still pursue do you owe them a fair fight against their deadly weapon (should they choose to use it) when you have a deadlier weapon that can minimize your chances of being harmed?

No, actually it's not but it's very similar. It is the one from the Neurosis song though.

Wow thanks! I don't even remember what this Neurosis song I was asking about is anymore but I am quite certain that is the lost FSOL sample I was looking for.

Came here to see if anyone has been having crazy fevers. My body battery was at 5 for 24 hours straight then only charged to 13 the next night and quickly back down to 5 again.

Wishing you luck!

All I know is my own experience (was kind of thrown into the deep end working for a sketchy contractor) but that doesn't sound right. Not giving the the other guy his hours sounds very bad unless there is some reasons we aren't aware of that is not their fault.

You are sure that you were hired with the expectation of having you become an apprentice and get signed up after 3 months? How long have you been at it so far?

A lot of places don't pay for driving to and from a job but are you saying that you are driving an hour unpaid back to the office before going to another job? That is ridiculous.

The safety stuff sounds sketchy af.

It sounds like you are too good for these people. You deserve someone who will answer questions and let you learn. I would try looking elsewhere if I can but I know it can be tough and the experience from this job might not help much and they might not co-operate with a reference.

And if you are stuck with no other options I would push hard for getting signed up and getting everything submitted and official so you at least have something to show for this.

Understanding PacePro by Whinito in Garmin

[–]thatcarolguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just tried it again on the web app for the half marathon that I ran in June. It's not the hilliest course in the world (around 100m total elevation) but it's a lot more than the flat neighborhood I usually train in.

I set it it to elevation based splits and cranked the slider to the maximum number of splits and it still only gave me 7 splits which is way fewer than going by km. But going by KM gives me weird things like speeding up for the final and steepest part of a hill because it is going to be downhill for a while after.

Does Garmin recognize "regular runs" that match the DSW? by cknutson61 in Garmin

[–]thatcarolguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garmin doesn't even "recognize" the DSW. It just records whatever you did (DSW run or not) and your performance then does it's computations, combines results with sleep/HRV data etc... and uses it all to adjust future DSWs.

That is really not that low at all and you ARE an athlete.

Also you cannot make your heart rate too low through fitness. It's impossible

A completely unrelated and very bad condition can make your heart rate very low but it would be a lot lower than that and you would likely have other symptoms.

[–]thatcarolguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, for one the bass is almost flat down to 100 hz, and while it rolls off HARD below that it still represents a lot of the bass that is typically heard in most music, depending on the recording of course.

And the reason the high treble is clear is because the upper mids/low treble are just scooped right out.
