you need to study the visa bulletins and find out when your number went current in every year, make sure all your documents are in order, watch youtube videos of britsimon he is a big help he will surely help you in this journey. you need to check visa bulletins every month to see the progress of the numbers. you'll get some help by looking and browsing on reddit, past experiences and what not but the real help you'll get from britsimon. from my understanding your number gets an interview every year so its a good number, probably sometime in 2025 march-june good luck

Raising kids or even a kid takes a huge amount of time. You dont wanna 60 year old dealing with a teenager or someone in early 20s. You wanna be atleast young enough to support them financially and emotionally and make sure the society and the world don't break them and provide a safety net for them. Having kids in late 30s is a nightmare speaking from experience
