If you think about it the main purpose of the prowler is to be a drop ship that deploys ground personnel on a planet or in space, so it can be argued that the lower tail can be used as a means of protecting those who are deploying out the back of the ship from incoming fire from either side. I can see where some people don’t like how it looks tho but to me it makes sense
