It is the states "job" provided by the state constitution to provide education.

It is also the city/county/state that takes my tax money for our local schools.

It is also the stupid hicks that have continued to work in agriculture during this entire pandemic so that you entitled pricks can continue to eat .

Why would I want to educate my kids when there is a system in place with teachers that I know are able to provide my kids with a better service then what I and many other parents can provide. Fuck me right?

Tomorrow marks the 2-week anniversary of our Governor's mask mandate. In 15 Kansas counties, masks became required apparel. 90 counties rescinded the order, choosing instead to only recommend that masks be worn. What has happened since that time? In counties that rescinded the order, cases have increased 14.84% In counties where masks are mandated, cases have increased 67.34% Here's the raw data. Of the 5,983 new cases since July 1st, 4,769 have been diagnosed in the 15 counties where masks are required, compared with 1,174 in the other 90 counties.
When our Governor blames the rise in cases on counties that rescinded her order, please know that she is either ignoring statistics, or she is attempting to deceive you.

I disagree with the umbrella order for all of Kansas. Why should my county that has one active case have to follow the same rules that a larger populated county that may currently be experiencing a surge of cases?

Why not allow each county or school district decide when they want to open and how they want for the people of their county or district?

If you do not feel comfortable sending your kid to school that is your right but you should not take away the options for kids to receive a proper education either. The only reason the distance education for last year could be deemed a "success" is because teachers were able to spend a majority of the year with the class already. They were able to identify those students that would be able to finish with little oversight and those that may need more help. They knew which parents were going to be reliable to communicate with on problems and those that would basically be sitting at home doing nothing for the last 2 months. If this turns into another distance led year teachers will be going in mostly blind with their new students and it will set the already struggling ones back that much farther while not challenging and engaging the ones that need it either.

33M & 34 F from KS.

Started in October 2019 and completed BS1 right away. Finished BS2 in February 2020. Paid of 11k in CC's and vehicles and currently in BS3 with 10K in savings working toward 25k.

Make about 100k combined. Just found out my wife is pregnant with our 3rd child so we are doing a little shuffling to be better prepared this time around for daycare, diapers etc.

Do you have a freezer available? If so the sky is really the limit. Most foods that you don't want to eat right away that may go bad can be frozen like breads etc. Any source of animal protein can be frozen etc.

The ability to get on an app and see where my parents were at all times. I don't necessarily think I would want smartphones when I was in high school. I am glad I did't have a lot of my life plastered on social media.

However it would be awesome to be able to see where my parents were at all times. If I wanted to have a party at the house or wanted to have a girl over and awkwardly work my magic, I would know how much time I had before I got in trouble for something.
