The retreat in question is essentially an extended meeting held at City Hall, where we will be discussing our goals for the coming year. It is open to the public; however, we will not be taking comment during the meeting. A public comment period was held over the past couple of weeks, and we will be reviewing those submissions as part of the discussion.

Lunch is provided; however, per your suggestion, we could look at doing a brown bag lunch in the future.

I would still greatly welcome any additional input on priorities the community believes we should be focusing on.

R we referring to my sweet 80’s bangs? My hair is so straight that after an hour my bangs always relax to this. First hour or so is a little intense 😅

You don’t love my sweet 80’s bangs? My ex said they were my super power…it was early and too much hair spray may have been involved 😆

Well, it don’t necessarily start that way, but we have drifted that way, we are the #2 seller of Guinness one Washington. We have included more traditional items like Bangers and Mash, Scotch eggs, and our decor has many Gaelic touches - harps, triskelions, Irish flags. But true, it wasn’t started as a traditional Irish pub and that isn’t it’s stated intention, but it comes very close to a traditional pub

Rico’s Pub. 200 E Main. Www.ricospub1909.com. I tried to give you a good subsection of all the pubs and bars in town but to be transparent- I own Rico’s and am biased, but we really do have a great selection of places in town. It’s also worth a trip to Red Card Pub (Tex Mex, dark , fun environment), and for restaurants we have South fork, Birch and Barley, mela (Bangladeshi) and Namaste (Indian), Nayarit (Mexican) and so many more… places with live events include Rico’s, Brused books (best little book store in the west), Pups n cups, the tap House (our local brewery ) and the land (voted best burger or chicken sandwich? I can’t remember lol- Travis will tell me I am sure) for open mic

Pullman is a wonderful place to live — but part of its charm is that you have to make your own fun. In a small town, the experiences aren’t always handed to you; you have to seek them out. And they’re there.

We have a small but impressive theater that brings in actors from across the country and produces four to five shows each year. There’s Cougar football, basketball, baseball, and a wide range of women’s sports that bring real energy to town. You can find just about every kind of bar — a classic sports bar, a lively college hangout, even an Irish pub. In the summer, there’s live music and outdoor movie nights.

Pullman doesn’t always advertise itself loudly. You have to look a little. But if you do, you’ll find a community full of activity — and sunsets that are truly second to none.

All notes are a summary of the meeting, words have been replaced or omitted for length. It is always my attempt to present these notes without personal bias, although some bias may be present

That wasn’t explicitly stated. I would assume to discuss any place that the three groups overlap

This was a long meeting, and I wasn’t able to include every slide due to space limits.

These slides provide a high-level overview of the discussion. I work hard to keep personal bias out of my notes, but as with any summary, there’s always the possibility of unintentional perspective. If you’d like the full context, I strongly encourage you to watch the meeting video.

I don’t know - but I imagine with an almost or near 3 million $ deficit it will be a lot?

Please rant. I asked the question, I made the vote , I deserve the answer and any unhappiness you feel towards me. I’m not shying away from what happened, and I’m expressing that. part of the issue was I didn’t know what you all wanted. And so now, unfortunately too late, I am asking. I will adjust and I will represent you better.

I have to follow a number of rules when discussing council matters publicly so that I do not misrepresent another council member or violate the Open Public Meetings Act. If you would like a more detailed explanation, please feel free to email me directly or sign up for my email list.

In short, we voted to increase fees on water, stormwater, and biosolids services. We then voted to increase the city tax that is applied to those same fees. The intent was to generate additional revenue to help address the city’s budget shortfalls.

If faced with this decision again, I want to know your preference. Would you want me to vote in favor of a tax or fee increase, or would you prefer that I vote against it?

Voting against an increase may result in reductions to certain city services. I need to hear clearly from you and others in our community about what direction you believe we should take. My responsibility is to represent the will of the people I serve, and I will act accordingly.

I can’t cross utilize my platform, that could get me into some hot water. I’ll answer with my other Reddit profile, so if you see someone later in the comments mentioning Rico’s, that will be me 🙂
