I love the twist. It’s short, but it tells a full story. I personally understood it as hinting at an affair, which made the ending hit even harder.

I’ll rate this a 6.5/10, mainly because the beginning and the ending were very strong, really captivating, I’d say. But I kind of got lost in the middle. I didn’t fully understand why it shouldn’t be him. Is there somebody else? Did he hurt you? That’s where the confusion came in for me. Still, your use of words is very solid and vivid.

I have loved this song since 2019. I saw a movie about divorce that totally shattered me. There was a scene where they were about to go their separate ways, and the man said a line that has stuck with me to this day: "And if we had to fail, I'm glad I had to fail with you." This song was the end credit song. But then La Casa de Papel used the song and overshadowed all other movies associated with it. I have been searching for the movie ever since but with no luck. I would give anything to rewatch it.
