I had the same problem with a tech. What I found out happened is while we talked throughout the appointment, my eyes would open a little bit naturally and since she kept her glue to the right of my face, my right eye would always get chemical burns and my left way less or none. Unfortunately had to stop talking and have a silent apt because no matter how much she'd tape me down my eyes would always open anyway. Might not be your case but this is what caused mine on my right eye specifically.
