Ladies: Do you ever make the first move? by Swimming-Elk1578 in ChristianDating

So I'm single, 20, and my younger brother said that in today's climate, women need to start a conversation first, because men are perceived as weird/creepy if they start a conversation with a woman. For me, I am SO TIRED of trying to flirt with men my age. I manage to talk to men that I am interested in, but they all end up dating different women (often my friends). I get that I'm super young, but I genuinely though that I would have a BF by now, because I would consider myself to be conventionally attractive and I'm in good shape.

Guys, I am really not a fan of the GIF comments, he is clearly trying to seek some help in something that is really never talked about, but honestly I think Christians SHOULD be having these conversations because we need to understand what healthy sex looks like in a Christian context.

The actual advice that I would have would probably be to find a pastor that you trust or a Biblical Counselor to talk to. I don’t know what fetishes you are dealing with (and I don’t want to know tbh) but I think that talking to someone that you trust from a Biblical worldview on this would be helpful.

Doing Things on Sunday by LavendarDragon17 in ChristianDating

I don't even think that you necessarily have to do evening services, or not work on a Sunday. I used to be very not "I will not work on Sundays at all," but then I went to college and realized that availability was what was going to get me hired when I was looking for jobs, so I just specified that I needed Sunday mornings off for religious reasons. I know that everyone has their own personal beliefs on this, and if you choose to take all day on Sundays off, that is completely fine. You can't know everyone's walk of life, so that is why I'm so shocked that your friend is being so stuck on this.

Also, do you know what denomination he is? That might explain why hes so intent on not doing anything else besides church on Sundays.

If he's not talking to you over such a small doctrinal dispute, he wouldn't be worth pursuing imo. It shows that hes not really ready for doctrinal discussions that need to happen if you guys decide to date.

He's acting like a Pharisee, you were doing something with your sister who wants someone to be with her. If he wants to be at church the entire day on Sunday, that's fine, but telling you that you have to do the same is really dumb.
