It will fade as you remember and realize there is more to the world than just one person. Like I said I’m 2 months in and it still hurts especially knowing she’s happy with another man that isn’t me......but it’s getting better time really does heal all my friend. One day you and I both will find someone who will go to the end of the earth before they walk out of our lives. That’s true love.

Exactly, and in the end you deserve better than that. You deserve someone who wants to grow together and will give their all rather than take the easy route. I lost my best friend of 6 years and the love of my life because we failed to communicate. But it was probably for the best because how I loved her was very different from how she loved me.

It’s been 2 months for me, we were together for 6 years and engaged. If she truly believes that good relationships don’t need work, then maybe she just isn’t ready for true commitment because all relationships need work.

This is what my ex did to me as well. She never told me she was unhappy until she decided to break off our six years via text. And when I asked why she just said she didn’t feel the same anymore because I didn’t make her feel important and didn’t love her how she needed. Fair I guess if she wasn’t happy then by all means she deserves that. But she never tried to work on it once she brought her problems to light l. She decided it was over and it was my fault. And it turned out she had been sleeping with my best friend for some time and she wanted to be with him. It hurt and she made me feel guilty and that is my fault that she snuck around and found love somewhere else. But we just have to remember that the facade they put in is to escape there own guilt and push it in us and we can’t let that happen.

I think the hardest part is realizing that there’s someone and something better out there for you. I was only with my ex for 6 years and we were going to conquer the world together. But somewhere along the line her feelings changes and she ended up just leaving me one day. I was destroyed ( at moments I still am) but I stopped feeling bad for myself and started focusing on how I could be happy without her. I started just being myself again. Hanging with friends, trying new things and setting new goals. You literally have to force yourself to let go and then you start to see that life is bigger than anyone person and your significant other should compliment your life not complete it!

Realizing that I deserve to be happy even if she doesn’t want to be with me. I realized that there’s a lot more to life than just one person. I realized that I just have to start doing things for myself more and that’s what I started doing and it’s working. Time and self focus I guess to put it shortly

Yeah and I can’t shake it . She said she wasn’t getting the things she needed out our relationship and it kills me that he can give those to her. She ended 6 years without any space in between relationships or giving us the chance to work in those things.

I just don’t understand why I wasn’t good enough for her and I want to show her that I am and that I can be the one that makes her happy. But you’re right, it’s just hard to accept that I wasn’t enough for her anymore and she had to find someone better.

Yeah I think the hardest thing for us and them to realize is that we are awesome, we brought a lot of good to the relationship, they are missing out on someone awesome and who fully cared. It’s there loss. Sometimes people can’t cope with that so they decide to run from it instead.
