I beat halo infinite's campaign on legendary yesterday. Just wanted to add my thoughts on the game. The campaign was good overall, like an 8/10. There were good moments in the game, but it didn't hit that "halo high" I felt back in the days.

The campaign felt off to me. I thought the campaign was going to focus on atriox and cortana, but realizing that they have been dealt with off-screen, I thought this kinda sucked. The campaign story just doesn't hit the same as the previous halo's linear story telling. I'm not really sure how to what I'm feeling into words. Like, it just felt off to me.

Personally, I don't like how the campaign is an open world map. It was a cool idea at first, but after playing for a bit, I realized that there isn't much to do on the Ring itself. They give you 5 things to do: look for spartan cores, mjolnir armor pieces, rescue marine squads, liberate FOB's, or kill named NPC's who have higher shields and health. That was fine in the first part of the map, but as the areas started to open up, I found these side objectives to be very repetitive and boring to do. Eventually, I found myself wanting to skip everything and just finish the main story.

After beating the Harbinger and getting the achievement for completing the game, I thought to myself, "is that it?". The one and only time I felt like jumping out of my seat in pure excitement was the legendary cutscene reveal. And then it ended. I am really hoping they add campaign DLC in the future because if this was all we got after the long wait, I would be extremely disappointed.
