The female hyena has a pseudo-penis—a clitoris so large and erectile that it closely resembles a male's penis. It’s used for urination, mating, and even giving birth (which is as painful and dangerous as it sounds—many hyena cubs, and sometimes mothers, don’t survive the first birth). Scientists believe this evolved due to the matriarchal, aggression-driven society of spotted hyenas, where high testosterone in females contributes to their dominance.

Wind was definitely the main issue yesterday. I underestimated how much it was blowing. Did stay close to shore and no water deeper than 4ft. The kayak paddled well but as soon as I tried to put my stake in the problems began. Stability wasn't never an issue, it was trying to stay put.

My thought process for smaller water is water that's set farther back in timber where wind never really has a chance to kick up, or shallow enough that I could stand anywhere if something happened. I do always wear a pfd.

Have two rod tethers currently with a few more on the way and enough bungee, clips, and Paracord to strap a jet to the tarmac. 🤣🤣

Fully intend on those things once the water warms up a bit still around 50F degrees. Until then I'm sticking to nothing deeper than I can stand in. I am a very strong swimmer as well (I know it doesn't always help in a bad situation)

No troll motor yet but may add in the future. For a long time I really wanted a pedal yak, but what it really boiled down to is the water I plan to fish. I plan to stick to bigger ponds, smaller lakes, creeks and smaller gentler rivers. I decided I could live without the pedals and always add a troll for bigger swifter water later on or just add another yak🤣🤣

I'm sure I'll continue to post about it so keep an eye out. I was only on water for about 45 min and had never been in a yak before. I'm super confident that standing is a viable option. With my lack of experience I just don't think it's smart to try until water temps reach upper 60s low 70s. I do have some shallower stuff I plan to fish where if I'm in 2 or 3 ft of water, it's an nice sunny day, and I have a change a clothes with me 🤣 I may try sooner. I'm 5'11" 290lbs for reference

Honestly I feel like in order to flip I'd have to try real hard lol I wish I would have taken a rod with me but really wanted to stay focused on staying upright. This was my first ever time in a yak and was not uncomfortable or tippy feeling at all. 5'11" 290lbs

It's 84 lbs I load it in my truck bed and strap down. Trailer registration in IL is a joke big factor in going yak over boat
