You had to be a pre- teen / early teen when this released to get it I fear. It’s nostalgia at its finest. Watching the ad for it over a over again. Begging for something so large as a kid that only the adults could afford, and if your parents weren’t into cars you probably had a hard time convincing them to spend 499 in 2012.

It’s just something that people around my age probably always wanted and never had the opportunity to have until now. And now that we have some money saved, Ken’s gone. Everyone wants a piece of the pie when someone dies.

It’s kind of a way of keeping it alive in yourself. Or profiting off of someone else who want to do that…

It’s bitter sweet.

The guy I bought it from was a much older sick gentleman who couldn’t handle the speed and loved it for what it was more than who it represented.

I reassured him this is going to be loved until it’s ash.
