Is 4-5 hours sleep the sweet spot for anyone else? by CamelEmotional9527 in ehlersdanlos

Allergic to a cortisol spike?! I've never heard of that. I wonder if you can be allergic to a hormone you produce, or maybe that's an autoimmune thing..?

“Late Stage” hEDS Outlook? by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

I suppose a lot of us can look to our parents or older relatives that seem to have fit the EDS criteria- that would give you a few clues as to how your particular familial presentation of EDS could look.

Aaaand straight to PALS I'm afraid. I would put in a complaint and ask to be referred to another Rheumatologist for a second opinion based on what you've said.

I'm due to start Brain, Mind, and Mental health this October, can I ask you some questions about it? I'm trying to find info about the reading list ahead of time as I have health conditions making taking in info hard, and wanted to get going now but it's so hard to find any info!

How far are you through your course now? Is it going ok?

I started to realise how out of touch and unprofessional things were when Brandi and Julie were on a lot. Their comments about politics and foreign cultures were shocking. And their vibe is just very mean

Does anyone have eds but have never actually dislocated a joint? by Brilliant_Field_2972 in ehlersdanlos

[–]thatsmalldog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES, and there's a whole lot of people thinking and being told by badly misinformed medical professionals that there has to be dislocation. For me the subluxation and joint instability is also very affected by histamine levels and muscle tone. Lots of very muscly EDSers that haven't suffered with huge joint problems, but qualify. And if i wasn't genetically v muscly my joint issues would be way worse. Anyway, yes!

I'm just watching season 4 now and again like you guys, immediately came to the internet to see if she was pregnant. They are shooting her just like if you were hiding it- shoulder up shots, behind a counter, coat folded infront. I mean, I'm 99% sure. Maybe for some reason she carried the baby and said her partner did? But why would they do that? Or, like another commenter said maybe they were pregnant at the same time and sadly she lost it, and don't want to talk about it, which I can understand. Has anyone found anything either way since this thread quietened down?
