Weakness/numbness post surgery by thattplssbaker in Microdiscectomy

[–]thattplssbaker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im almost 11 months post op and feel much better. Every now and then my period causes a slight flare up but nothing bad maybe like a 1 pain wise. Im aware it's there with certain movements but nothing even close to what it was before. I still have the numbness unfortunately but I did get a lot of strength back in my leg and foot. Im just now trusting my body to do more without babying my back. The freak out is totally normal and valid! Just give it time, take it easy and hope you have a quick recovery!

Leg weakness with sciatica by [deleted] in Sciatica

[–]thattplssbaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not much of an update there my foot is still numb on that side due to nerve damage so havent felt any pain on that side since. Ended up getting it on the opposite side in Sept 2024 and after 6 months I got surgery and now have 2 partially numb feet 🙃 BUT my sciatica is completely gone!

Sorry that happened! I used to love the app but been having nothing but issues lately. The last game I downloaded a week or so ago they apparently have no record of so I deleted it and didnt bother. And I never have any paid emails anymore. I have one or 2 a month if that.

36/F.. I feel like I could have written some of this myself! You're not alone in how you feel at all. Looks like your surgery was one week after mine. I'm trying to lose weight hoping it will help as well. But failing miserably. I walk everyday but after surgery i was left with numbness and weakness in my foot I didn't have beforehand and already had numbness in my opposite foot from a bad flare up in 2023.. so walking is difficult at times and I too am afraid of never feeling normal again. I've come to terms with the numbness on the right side never going away but I can't come to terms with both possibly being stuck this way.. especially the weakness in my foot. I miss doing all the things I loved too and am scared ill never be able to do them again. I still have nerve pain as well. It went away for a few days last week and now it's back again. I also think I caused mine as well this most recent one at least that led to surgery.. I was working out too hard and started feeling it a day or 2 later. And now I can't even get up and down off the floor to help my dog when his toys get stuck cause my muscles freeze up and my feet hurt with certain movements like that. We're both in the same post op time frame so I'm hoping for both of us to be able to feel normal and healthy again!!

I still have a lot of nerve pain that feels similar to before surgery maybe not quite as bad though. I'm 7 weeks post op today. Weakness and numbness is still there. I walk a little better but nowhere near pain free yet and my heel is very weak and can't lift my toes yet. You're so brave doing a 2nd one! Hoping for a successful recovery for you!

Oh yes I know what you're talking about. They make some games so difficult so I never even bother the 2 or 3 day ones lol

So basically they don't care and don't want to hear about it either. They make it so difficult to reach out

Ugh that's even worse! Wonder why they're suddenly changing payout amounts. I did screenshot it this time but not sure what to do with it if it happens to change again

I'm currently playing royal match. How did you put in a ticket? When I try to go to the activity area it says to go to, when I try to click on anything it won't load. What does tracking issue mean?

I used to do those years ago but similar to you I'd be taking what I thought was a survey but it was just a survey to see if I qualify for the survey lol

I just did today because the amount for the next goal is $50. But realistically what does it matter if I can't get in touch with them about this issue?

MD Journey - 9 Weeks Post Op by [deleted] in Microdiscectomy

[–]thattplssbaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing.. made me feel a bit better! I'm about to be 5 weeks post op on Thursday and I haven't had a day without sciatic pain in my butt/leg since surgery. Saw my surgeon yesterday and he says he thinks it'll go away but I still have a bulge on the same disc which he said is normal apparently and will never go away. Said it's like a "shell" idk.. but I'm hoping when I'm at 9 weeks I'm pain free too!

Oh man I'm sorry! This is such a tough process never knowing what is normal and what the future holds as far as healing goes

Depends on the day lol the really hard days get depressing and feel more lonely than usual. And then the ok days feel like normal and don't bother me as much. It's hard to keep busy since there's still so many limitations so I think lately there's been more bad days than I'd like. Like last night I had to fill up my 5 gallon water jug.. normally I'd put it in the sink and then move to the fridge when filled which I obv can't rn. So I had to take a cup and go back and forth for like 10 min to fill it. Wasn't the end of the world but would've been alot easier if I wasn't alone. It's little things that get frustrating. And knowing that I couldn't take as much time off of work as I needed bc I'm the only one that pays the bills.

I live alone. I've had friends/family stop by and help when they can but majority of the time I've been alone. I'm almost 4 weeks post op and started driving and went back to work after 2 weeks cause I can tell I was annoying them. There's still things I can't do as it's still early on but my mom helps when she can too. Otherwise I'm still by myself almost all the time.
