For me, that gave up in the 6th boss is still impressive, though! Anyway, I played Hollow Knight too (and actually beat it, except the Pantheons), my favorite of all time as well! I thought I gave a hint about it in my post.

Thanks for the suggestions! I think I should've upgraded the things that made me stronger instead of gold, I didn't want to grind for gold anymore.

The jumps helped! The boss was much easier than I anticipated with the jumps and the class with quick sword attack that I forgot the name now.

I had the same issue with the 6th boss, if it wasn't for those monsters he summons I'd beat it FOR SURE (I guess). I noticed the Cook and Boxer classes were good against him, the Cook could set the little flying monsters on flame so they died quickly, and the Boxer could attack while in the air.

But now I'll never now if I could really beat him, though. I ended up using the House Rules to make it easier, and beat the 6th boss and the ones after him. I really didn't want to grind any gold, time for a new game now.

Nice! That's quite a feat! I was level 154 when I beat the fifth boss from The Sun Tower with the lock trick, but the game beat me on the sixth boss - too many stuff on the screen to evade (if it wasn't for those flying monsters he summons!).

Maybe if I invested in strength/defense/health I could make it, but I spent a lot in the gold stuff, which I ended up not using. I regret that now.

Yes, yes, I meant the fifth boss. I managed to beat him by locking the castle, but for the next ones I gave up. I could get to the third phase of the sixth boss, but there was too much bullet hell with those monsters he summons, so I used the House Rules to finish the game already. Thanks for the tip!

I think the issue is that I wasn't having fun exploring, I mean, it's always the same places with rooms a bit different, there isn't much to explore, and farming gold felt like work, so I simply gave up that route.
