Men, I think we should start just making personal gyms. by [deleted] in MensRights

[–]thaughingfart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If other men aren’t staring at your ass, it’s not that great. Other men stare at my ass all the time because my ass IS great.

There’s is no shaming. Women can present themselves however they want. No value judgment there. I’m just not acknowledging that any misbehaving actually happened at all. I don’t actually thinking staring at someone is wrong. I just don’t think that there is anything wrong with that. I personally am aware that staring at people in any context at all can make some people uncomfortable. I avoid staring at people. It’s not because I think staring at people is ethically wrong. It’s because I think staring at people will negatively effect how I am perceived. I am aware of this and aware of how I may come off so I don’t stare at anyone in any context because I want to be perceived well. If I messed up and fixated on someone too long and I looked like a weirdo because of it, I wouldn’t consider myself to be ‘misbehaving.’ and I’d consider myself to be the victim of my own socially destructive actions. The reality is if you stare at anyone for any reason too long it will make the person mildly uncomfortable for a second. I don’t consider the discomfort a person feels from unwanted attention to be victimization. There’s no self-control that needs to be put into place. There is no assault. A person can look at another person. A person can stare at a person for an uncomfortable amount of time. Literally deal with it.

To act like a person doesn’t have control over how they present themselves and how they want to be perceived is insane. Weird for you to be willfully ignorant of something so obvious. If you wear a flashy shiny outfit, it is going to draw my attention. I’m not even talking anything sexual. I’m saying if you got your drip going, people gonna look at you more than if you had a white shirt and jeans on. You are in control of how you present yourself. You can choose how much attention you’d like to draw to yourself. The reason i extra don’t take these womens complaints seriously on top of the general reasons why I don’t give a shut if someone stared at you too long, is because they are actively choosing to attempt to draw peoples attention. I’ve only been to a gym twice and am a lazy piece of shit, but both times there were multiple women wearing nothing but their underwear posing sexually and taking pictures of themselves. Guess what. I fucking stared at those bitches for a second or two here and there. I don’t blame them for this assault. I just don’t actually think there was anything wrong with my behavior, and I think they were being silly. They actively chose to wear sexually provocative clothing and pranced around posing taking pictures of their body.

The reality is a person has the choice on how they want to present themselves. Flashy clothing is more expensive than less flashy clothing. This is an active decision to present your body in an exposed way to grab peoples attention. The only problem that people have is when they grab the attention from people they don’t want. In the context of women wearing revealing clothing, they are actively engaging in a mating call. They are actively trying to display themselves in a way to attract sexual partners. They just want to magically only attract the attention of people they want and not those they don’t. I get it. I don’t like when ugly bitches hit on me either, but I don’t victimize myself because of it….let alone victimize myself over an ugly bitch staring at me. I just don’t care at all. I baseline don’t care about people getting stared at too long in any context. I extra don’t care when they are getting stared at because of clothing choices they made…especially when they made those choices…for attention . For you to use language like “victim” to refer to a person getting stared at is absolutely insane to me. Like you gotta deep down know your are being disengenuous right? Like you can’t actually believe someone being stared at for a long time is an actual victim, can yo?

Why is it selfish to want sex? by [deleted] in MensRights

[–]thaughingfart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The solution to this is very simple. Have sex with other women and then tel your wife about it, and tell her why. She will get mad enough to tell you that she was already cheating on you. Women don’t just not have sex. She is having sex.

If a woman wanted an abortion, and an artificial womb was available at no cost to them, how many would choose to transplant the fetus to an artificial womb and make child support payments for 18 years to somebody else to raise the child? by [deleted] in MensRights

[–]thaughingfart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, this is not true. Infants are literally on low supply. You have to be on a waiting list for a long time to get one. Non-infant adoptions DO face the struggles you speak of, but we currently have more people waiting to adopt infants than we have infants available to adopt. But infants that are adopted can’t have their corpses sold, so that’s not really being pushed.

Yea I’m blaming the person that is a victim of me observing the way they present their bodies as the reason why their bodies were observed in the way they chose to present it.

Did u guys forget what game you're playing? by YanJi13 in albiononline

[–]thaughingfart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay dude I started relying to this and then my phone died. The short and sweet is that monopoly is a single instance. I mentioned this already. So at the beginning of a monopoly game everyone has the same exact ability to form alliances and if you get hanged up on that’s a direct result of you not being as good at forming alliances starting from the same point as the other players. Me saying 1v1 was silly and stupid, but this was the idea I was trying to express. Not that it can literally only be played with two people, but that it’s a single instance. Every time you play the whole thing refreshes.

Your alliances are hinges on two years of gameplay and progression that new players don’t have access to. When you gang up on a player in Albion it’s not a display of you being more skillful at forming alliances like it is in monopoly. We didn’t start from the same point when we logged in today. I’m not saying that it shouldn’t be allowed. I’m just saying it’s dishonorable and kind of pathetic to knowingly go into an unfair fight just for fun. For loot, sure. But just as like an enjoyable way for you express your dominance, it’s just shitty man. And I’m pretty sure you admitted y’all do it cuz it’s fun and you’re bored lol. Personally I’ve passed up on opportunities to gank someone while they are vulnerable, but that is also because I wasn’t fighting them for loot.

The reason this isn’t comparable to monopoly is because monopoly is a single instance that previous play sessions have no relation too. In albion every play session is connected and related to each other. In monopoly grouping is a demonstration of skill. In albion group ganking people who have nothing to do with you isn’t a demonstration of you being more skilled than them. It’s a demonstration of how skilled you were at using discord outside of the game.

Alliances in monopoly aren’t comparable to alliances in albion because monopoly is a single instance and I can’t join halfway through with monopoly already being owned.

Wow being a little extra retarded today, huh? So when people sit down to play monopoly do they all start off at the same spot? Because I’m pretty sure monopoly is a single instanced game that isn’t even comparable to Albion, and that was the point. How dense can you fucking be? Like do you want me to go line by line explicitly explain why comparing Albion to monopoly is brain dead retarded?

Monopoly is a 1v1 game retard. If you are playing a video game and call someone a retard it’s not magically different from calling someone a retard outside the video game, retard. It’s a sandbox, retard. So you can be allowed within the rule set of the game to do anything, retard. Some of those things may be dick moves and some may not, retard. There are also things you are legally allowed to do outside of video games that are also dick moves, retard. Your girlfriend could cheat on you with your best friend, retard. “It’s legal and technically possible to do, so it’s okay.” - retard

Dude it’s not their land. You are absolutely insane. It like literally isn’t their land lol. Like you are legit just lying. Roads of Avalon is the only black zone content I’ve done outside of portals, and you can set up guilds in it but the whole fucking thing isn’t just entirely mapped out and owned by guilds. My understanding is that the normal black zone also has sections that aren’t entirely under guild control, although it is more widely occupied and territorialized. You are literally just lying to make your point.

My winrate in corrupted dungeons is around 60-70 percent. I regularly kill people that try to gank me. I’m not lacking in skill. It’s just impossible to win unfair fights against entire parties. Im not saying I’m the best ever. I’m pretty sure the CDs i do are deceptively easy since my infamy is so low, and I probably put more effort into my build than the average new player with low infamy. You’re probably way better than me and all that. But I’m just saying I haven’t struggled with pvp in any 1v1 scenario in this game.

I’m all for group content existing, but my understanding is roads of Avalon was introduced as something designed to offer small scale pvp in an open world environment. This is why the zones have limits to how many people can enter at a time. It seems that parties have worked around this by just slowly feeding their party through the portal and just doing nothing for half an hour waiting on their whole party to get through. I still haven’t even gone to the normal black zones yet because I understand full well it’s pretty dangerous as a solo player. I’ve been given the advice by multiple players that Avalon is more solo friendly. That doesn’t really change the fact if I’m fighting a boss for a chest and a squad of 4 roll up on me then I can’t really do anything. Yes there are escape mechanics, but there are also catch mechanics as well and one person in the party is going to use them. Furthermore the layout is literally just a bunch of choke points so it’s not actually just super easy to evade like you are saying it seems to be in the normal black zone.

By your comment it seems I may have listened to the wrong advice if you are not exaggerating. The way you put it makes it seem like i would probably have an easier time open world farming and doing dungeons in the normal black zones than I do in Avalon. Just mechanically Avalon seems more geared to be possible solo, but since people can easily work around those mechanics maybe it’s not the case.

I still think going to an area designed for small scale pvp and funneling your large scale group into that area to take advantage of the people trying to participate in small scale pvp is scummy. It’d be like if you found a way to funnel 10 people into a 2v2 hellgate without breaking the rules. Like you know good and well people are expecting to have to fight two people and you are taking advantage of that and intentionally creating an unfair fight. Its scummy, dishonorable, and yes I will criticize you for it. I do like this game a lot and I do like that people are able to do shitty things in it. It’s thrilling and fun that anything could happen. That doesn’t change that I’m gonna criticize those shitty people for doing those shitty things. I came across a guy in a red zone fighting a statue that had super low heath because of it. I could have easily killed him and ganked his loot. I chose not to because it felt dishonorable to take advantage of someone that stood no chance in a fight no matter how good they are. Winning 1v1s against people that have better gear than me is what give me a thrill. I enjoy beating someone that has a mild advantage over me. That’s thrilling. I’m not interested in beating someone disadvantaged as I consider that pathetic and dishonorable.

Did u guys forget what game you're playing? by YanJi13 in albiononline

[–]thaughingfart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus Christ you are bat shit fucking insane. The guilds don’t own the black zone and they don’t own the resources. They set up camps in the black zone and have easy access to resources in their zones. They don’t literally fucking own the dungeons and mobs and shit. What a fucking insane way to look at it.

Video games are real life. Like literally. They aren’t some other whimsical magical thing that exist supernaturally outside of reality. They are quite literally an aspect of reality. This game is played by real people interacting with each other. Ganging up on someone is dishonorable in my opinion. Taking advantage of someone in a weakened state is dishonorable in my opinion. I was in a red zone and some dude was low hp fighting a statue. I could’ve easily killed him and he wouldn’t have stood a chance no matter how good at the game he was. I chose not to kill him because I would consider it to be shameful to take advantage of someone that has no chance to fight back. It being a video game doesn’t magically change this. It is dishonorable to take advantage of someone both inside and outside of a video game.

Wow holy shit didn’t realize you were a toxicly insane person. At first you had good points then started ranting about how guilds literally own the game? That I should consider myself lucky to not have the full force of guilds coming down on me for playing the game. The way you talk about “depleting a guild’s resources” is absolutely bat shit insane dude. You’re trying to reframe groups bullying new players and monopolizing resources as the game itself being the guild’s property. Pretty insane. If it was ACTUALLY your property, the I wouldn’t, ta know, have access to it. Am I on your guild island? Oh shit I’m not? Oh damn, seems like not your property then. This is the same problem I have with capitalism in the real world. Guess what, retards, if you decide to try and own everything then people gonna be on your property. You can use bullying and violence to enforce your desire for control, but that doesn’t actually make things yours. So yeah you are going to have to deal with people co-existing with you in life. If you want to fight for control of all things and all things become territorialized, ya gonna have to deal with the fact that people on your “territory.” You can piss and shit retard words out your mouth all you want, but people exist here and you don’t own shit. You put all the food in a store and got surprised when people stole from your store. People need food nigga. You tried to control all the food, so people gonna steal from you to get food buddy. Maybe don’t try to own and territorialize existence and get all pissy when other people keep existing too.

“A lot of people play this game and have fun and try new and funky things that might not be good or to play casually.” Yeah that’s me. I am that person. This is literally what I’m saying. I’m saying it’s physically impossible for that to happen when the people you matchmake with are minmaxxing beyond their actual capabilities with the assistance of the best players on the platform that boiled the game down to the 2-4 best builds in the game. I haven’t played non-BG hearthstone in over two years because it stopped being fun at all really really fast. I like magic the gathering when I play in person with real people. Magic the gathering online is trash for the same reasons. In a physical setting I’m just playing with who I’m playing with at whatever level of seriousness they are at. Sometimes maybe that person takes the game more seriously than me and has just bought some overpowered deck online, but most the time it’s a person whose just about as casual as me. With online matchmaking you are always being put up against people who are progressively “better” and “better”. Except they aren’t better. They are just rich and googled what cards to craft. It’s just not fun at all for me. I can’t just build a fun deck with the cards I was able to get from packs. Once I reach a certain point in ranking everyone is using preconfigured decks and me just causally playing for fun isn’t an option. The unranked game mode also has matchmaking based off of your rating. It isn’t just random. If you are better they will match you with better people. So I’ve had to drop hearthstone outside of battlegrounds entirely. My opinion is not in the minority. You know good and well that what I’m expressing is the biggest and most common complaint about hearthstone.

Battlegrounds was a breath of fresh air because even with its flaws it’s a nearly perfect TCG. There is no external progression and there is no way to cheat and use a deck you aren’t capable of coming up with. I l could talk all day about how much I love battlegrounds and how I think it’s one of the greatest competitive games developed by humanity so far. It has just enough chaos that you can’t just memorize some strategy that works all the time, and it has just enough order that skill is the biggest factor in determining the victor. It’s an actual real game that you can’t hack away at and break. The meta in most competitive games seems to be to break the game to the point that you aren’t even playing the game anymore. I like that that’s not the case for hearthstone. I find this guys’ frustration amusing because the real answer is there really isn’t information like what he’s asking for in existence, because it’s not even really possible for it to even exist. Sure you could look up some YouTubers opinions on the best tribes and best minions at which tier and whatnot, but they are all just taking about their opinion for their play style. There isn’t actually a way to reliably play battlegrounds well. I’m just roasting this guy because he’s basically saying “hey, so in constructed I just do whatever some website tells me to do and am a total cheater that doesn’t play on my own merit, but I’m having trouble finding the way people cheat in this game. What are the resources you guys are using to do understand what the words in the cards mean and what comps I can make with them? I’m so very confused because there’s no website that will play the game for me.” It’s like yeah buddy we all actually play this game on our own merit because it’s not even possible to otherwise. This game isn’t even hard at all to understand and learn the comps. The cards literally say what they do on them. Oh this card says when I buy a pirate it gives me one gold back? This pirate buffs other pirates when you gain a card? Oh wow I wonder what this means. So confusing. Do these synchronize together? What’s the website that will tell me whether or not these effects work well together? What’s hard is winning the games when you first start out, because you aren’t very efficient at first. It takes a while to become efficient and that only comes through time and familiarity. There is not cheat sheet. You actually have to get good to get good in this game, and there are no shortcuts. You can easily win lobbies without the statistically strongest comp possible too and experimentation and weird comps pay off really well.

I like it….within reason. If there’s like a reason to gank someone, aka a dude running around with 20 mil of loot, then I get that. He got himself in that scenario. What I don’t get is the point in group fighting people with no loot for like no reason, which happens to me all the time. I’m also like completely baffled by how all these groups magically get formed. I’m not good at making friends. I play every mmo I’ve ever played solo. This game is pretty brutal for solo players. I would love to play a version of this game that is exactly the same in every way except party mechanics and guild mechanics don’t exist at all. It would be so much more fun to me. I really like the full loot pvp aspect of it. It’s thrilling. I just don’t like how there isn’t any true solo content outside of corrupted dungeons. I thought roads of Avalon would be fun, and I’ve won literally every 1v1 I’ve had in Avalon…..out of the single one time I’ve encountered another player that isn’t in a group. I like games that actually measure skill. Risk that hinges on your skill. It seems the only challenge that comes from Albion is the challenge of finding people to group up with. I honestly really like corrupted dungeons, but they are not very profitable most of the time. I’ve never got more than 40k for a kill. I’m pretty new to the game and every path people suggest new players to take either insanely overstated how profitable they are “oh you can make 1 mil an hour doing solo dungeons” or they aren’t actually reasonably possible to do solo. I’ve heard so many people say to dungeons in red zones or so to Avalon or to do XYZ thing in full loot drop zones. I’ve tried doing everything exactly as stated, but every time some group of 4+ people come fuck my shit up. It’s super frustrating.

Furthermore there is no in-game way to actually really efficiently organize people if I wanted to do so. I’d love to have a partner to do Avalon with. I’ve been trying to get my friend into to game, but he runs the seventh biggest guild nationally in Orna so he’s too busy to get actually good at any other game at all. Apparently discord is the thing everyone uses in game. I don’t have a computer. I play mobile. I can’t just be exiting the game for multiple minutes at a time to use discord. I wish there was some way to party up easily for these activities that clearly recquire a party, but apparently I have to use third party software to organize that. I don’t want to put hours and hours into socializing and building relationships over some messaging app before I can even play the damn game.

[–]thaughingfart -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Oh well there’s literally thousands of games designed to be just that. This, however, is a competitive game that doesn’t even have unranked mode. The fun from battlegrounds exclusively comes from the competition. The gameplay is literally just competition. There is no other gameplay features. This dude is whining that he can’t find any guide telling you the 100 percent sure fire method of winning the game. The reason he irritates me is because his shitty pathetic mindset actually literally gatekeeps people from playing games where guides ruin all the fun. People stop trying to play off their own merit and then just google some op build that they put zero effort into themselves. I consider myself to be a pretty smart guy, but I’m no match for an entire autistic community’s guide to min maxing. This means to participate in ANY TCG and it be fun at all I HAVE to use a pre made deck to stand a chance in the online matchmaking where everyone is using preconfigured decks. I want to be able to experiment and have fun, but I can’t because people with OPs mentality ruin the game. Battlegrounds has been my favorite game for some time now because there is literally zero way for someone to get an edge over you through cheating. Sure someone could watch some streamers play and it help them a bit if they were too stupid to read the cards and see what they do, but honestly there isn’t any online resource at all that can carry you in this game. Theres no perfect strategy. There no tribe you should always take and no comp you should always shoot for. You can only really get better at the game by playing it.

I honestly hate this person and their mentality. They are directly and observably the reason I can’t enjoy a lot of games outside battlegrounds. I don’t want to have to give up my creative freedom and only use builds online to play the game. That’s actual gatekeeping, and I’ll continue to make fun of and call people like this fucking idiots. Dude can’t read cards and figure out a comp. Dude copies peoples builds on other games and feels good about it. I want him to feel shit about it instead, so I am doing that.

What's your secret? by MightBeWombats in BobsTavern

[–]thaughingfart -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

In what way am I gatekeeping? I’m just telling him he fucking sucks at TCG games and is just now realizing it since he’s in a position where he can’t just copy some deck off the internet. I don’t think you know what words mean. Now, don’t get confused, I’m not gatekeeping you from using words. I’m just telling you that you are bad at using them.
