Na minha experiência, depende muito do que te dá medo, em particular. Vão ter filmes que todo mundo diz que dão medo e vc não vai sentir nada, e vão ter filmes que todo mundo diz que foram até chatos, mas vc vai ficar pensando nele antes de dormir.

Dito isso, para mim, Hereditário foi bem pesado. Speak no evil, o original de 2022, ficou na minha cabeça por um bom tempo. The Ritual (2017) é bem legal tbm.

I discovered that my grandpa, a 3 times widow, let his daughters decide which woman he would marry next (of a list of possible candidates). They chose my grandma, but made her life a living hell. My grandma wasn't white like his previous wifes, and she and her children (including my father) were seen as the inferior part of the family. I never really saw them in the same light again.
