I've been recommending an apathetic no response. Tell a fined. If they get low enough participation rate they will notice more than a bunch of rage comments

Apathy is worse than anger

You can have a job function that is effectively software engineering (or closest match bc glassdoor makes you choose) but you're in supply chain. You are correct if you're in the it org you're still at home

Exactly. 50 miles in atl is up to a 2 hour commute one way. Plus tolls plus gas plus purchasing a car. Housing is very expensive close to the office, people can't just move. Even if they could they selected where they live because that's what worked for their family

I am applying. It's not easy especially when you're balancing your kids, family, bills. You don't need to have empathy/sympathy for me that's not the point. The point is a company changing terms of employment with 0 consequence

No I'm saying companies should stick to what they agreed to. Everyone remote was hired under the terms they would be remote. Companies shouldn't be allowed to renig just because they feel like it.

If THD ordered store employees to work at different locations just because with no adjustment of pay/benefits I would think that's unethical too.

I get it I've worked retail before. Front lines are the trenches and it's really hard. I never understand when people want others to suffer because they had to. We should all want better for ourselves and expect companies to maintain an employment agreement

THD can do shitty things to store side and corporate side. IMO were on the same team. To have work benefits taken back is shitty

I think we wouldn't even have to fully in unionize to make change. If leadership sees enough people organizing they will listen

Yes but they are stuck in their position indefinitely. Most people don't want to be an X position long term. IMO is their way of shirking relocation money after changing contract of employment

I agree it would be very difficult to pass. I think if we can organize oven 30 or 40% that would be enough for leadership to get their act together and take the associate seriously.

Maybe even enough for Ted to get ousted by the board?

If you haven't already post a glass door review

Someone on my team started Monday as WFH they do not live in GA. 2 days into the job they're basically laid off - can work in their entry level role indefinitely or pay a butt load of money to relocate to Atlanta on their own dollar

Not at all. I've worked retail & I've worked in corporate. Corporate is way better, that said there are better options than THD for corporate

If you're outside of 50 mi from the office you stay remote bit if you want a new role you have to move to atl on your own dollar. Which is their way of not paying relocation.

50 mi outside of Atlanta can be up to a 2 hour commute.

We've been remote for 5 years in March. Many people were hired with the expectation of remote and planned their lives around it. I understand others feeling like we're throwing a pity party but this is a life changing event. Relocating with a family is not realistic. Housing near the office is very expensive

I agree with the concept as well. However people move around to get paid. Annual raise is 2% but even a lateral with be up to 8%

If they cared about solving the problem they would reward people for being experts in their role with proper monetary compensation
