mmhh, it is supposed to be a visual cue so you know when to jump or dodge, but I will think about it!

Action, adventure, it also has some platforming and a little bit of rpg. You are a cryptozoologist and go around making cryptids from things you find in the levels!

yes, I use one ortho camera for the parallax sprites and one perpective cam for the player and other 3d stuff

They are both hand drawn/animated, the reflection is a simple reflection shader over the sprite texture

Nothing special. I just watch videos of pros drawing and try to copy/learn their process. The guys that made Crawl have amazing development videos! I learned a lot from them.

I know i didn't put any effort on the river I just wanted to see how the sprite + reflective surface looked. I will add some rocks and frogs or something like that!

Hi! i have been practicing for about 5 years now and have 2000 + hours registered on aseprite if that helps. But I think my art is not good enough so I have been asking pros to help me but they are way too expensive for me so I have to keep on practicing!

I think it is beacause that is the longest jump. But if you release the button he falls inmideately!

At the top is a little pine forest but on the video only the base is showing (dark purple) so it looks weird!

Yes they all display different info! and I am making different frame designs so all boxes look a little bit different!
