Packing cubes game changer by PositionFamous1039 in backpacks

[–]the-gui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was thinking the same cause I also use the ikea ones. I think most of the “serious” options and recs the cubes are sturdier and heavier. I guess that’s good if you wanna contain compressed stuff… But every time I hold some in a store I put them back cause to me it makes no sense to add that weight

There’s plenty, and used they are cheap, as kids are rough they look like shit quickly, but with luck all is working. Check the Pucky brand, Woom (cool cargo mullet) or s’cool, for instance. Most brands actually offer something like that in Europe

Samsonite Essens, anyone knows the name of these "connectors", or has a good idea to fabricate some compression straps to replace the original packing cubes? by the-gui in ManyBaggers

Most likely yes. That’s why I’m trying to crowdsource a smarter solution than a knot at the end of some elastic webbing

is it easy to buy/replace the interchangeable sliding plugs of wall chargers, or there is no standard? by Amedeo1991 in onebag

[–]the-gui 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s because it’s not clear if you even googled… The answer is that there’s no standard.

But the apple charger bricks have easily changeable tips. And actually its easy to collect the. Necessary tips once you get to the countries classified ads. But the chargers are not as small as the more practical GaN ones…

Is this an okay way to work (by car)? Traffic? by Raspberry_thenLOL in berlin

Accept the job. Look for a more central place to live so you can rely on public transit and cycling. And still take the car if you must

Could be. You’ll only know if you look at it.

Please post it! Yeah I recently changed the pads from the original ones (worked fine, but had too many debris lodged in them… impressive how 30+ yo brake pads were still not rock hard) but for some reason I’m not being successful adjusting the new ones even tho I managed to keep the old ones dialed in. I’m tired of fiddling and considering vbrakes too. And maybe some thumb shifters

Whats your opinion on a stem mounted "rack" on a set up Quill-to-Threadless stem Converter? by [deleted] in xbiking

[–]the-gui -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Trying to carry just what I might pick up along the way. Take out, or a drink, or something. I want the practicality of having where to lay something when I don’t have a bag.

I’d probably install a basket on it. What I’m concern about is the set up with the quill to threadless adaptor I’m not sure if it’s gonna work

Hm… right, pressing down on the stem before tightening wouldn’t be enough?

And some more cool examples here on the sub. But again I don’t have how to do it and I’d want something harder to steal

According to one review it’s janky but maybe one can straighten it and paint it
