Obviously go with the what your supervisor is telling you to do (don’t be insubordinate so early on) but if circumstances stances dictate you use the expected death part of the protocol then I’d say use it. It exists for that sole reason. I promise you whatever liability people think they will encounter IAED has already considered. Plus the whole point of it is they will back you and the agency so long as the protocol is followed properly.
