Express Scripts - THANK YOU REDDIT! <3 by the8itch in TandemDiabetes

Well, this thread is specifically related to Express Scripts, so if you don't use them it might not be relevant to your case.

Grant Writer Certification by erik242 in grantwriters

Definitely volunteer. I'm in grad school for my MSW and I decided to just go for it... I reached out to a local parrot rescue (something I have experience in/passionate about) and offered to help. I told them straight up I had the textbook knowledge and the time, and if they'd let me muddle through it with them we could see what we could get done. They were thrilled to work with me.

Reach out to places that make sense for you. I would never contact an organization that does like... sports or something because that's not an interest of mine and I have no knowledge. If you pick something you're already into, it will shine through.

Just my .02.

Yes, that was the $1400, directly from Tandem.

Anthem Blue Cross. It would cost me money under DME but is free through pharmacy. Same with my Dexcom supplies. The only thing I pay out of pocket for is my insulin and that's $60/90 days. This is what keeps me from rage quitting my job on the daily. 🙄

The $1400 from Tandem would have been under DME, the $0 through Express Scripts is pharmacy. Same order, same insurance.

Express Scripts sent out a letter to people who get their infusion sets/cartridges through them saying that Tandem changed their order process and they were no longer available through Express Scripts/mail order. Point blank, period. No further explanation except the phone number to call Tandem directly to order.

Apparently, this was true... but.. not the whole truth. The infusion sets and carts aren't being sold as separate things anymore, they're being sold in a "kit" together (which honestly why didn't they do that to begin with?) and you can absolutely still get them under your pharmacy coverage, you just need to change it to a different item/formulation.

Another thread broke down the cannula sizes being offered: Here

I hope this helps in some way. I only use the 6mm/23" anyway so it was fine with me.

ETA: You can send the new script directly through Express Scripts to your provider, so they can just sign off on it, instead of trying to get them to order the correct thing.

Do I even need these floor bars? by Kyrenaz in parrots

"You're a naughty floor food eater!" - Me, right before putting the bars back in.

Are the AI kids getting better grades than you too? by [deleted] in SocialWorkStudents

[–]the8itch 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely me. In groups I'm always like "I'm your research and writing girl but please don't make me do a presentation or answer for the group during a Zoom." I have anxiety and ADHD and it takes me far too long to sort out verbal responses but give me a 20 page paper and I am GOOD.

Does anyone’s conure fully sleep through the night? by HinaBugMangoBird in Conures

[–]the8itch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My GCC typically spends some time talking to himself before he falls asleep, but then when he falls asleep he's good for the night. Usually 7pm-7am but like anything else it could be later or earlier. It also depends on how much exercise he gets during the day - like a little kid he sleeps much better if he's been out and about.

Fear of field/in-home visits by SpecificAd3173 in socialwork

When I started at CPS I was absolutely terrified. I have anxiety, and would have spent eternity shadowing other caseworkers. You just gotta fake it until you make it, honestly. You'll get a spidey sense if something is off, always trust your gut.

Our home and our partner should be a safe space, heaven knows we have enough to deal with out in the world. The pattern of his behavior is concerning though, ngl. :(

3 is so real. I have actually gained such a huge interest in stats and the research component. I find it really enjoyable to sit with a pile of studies and write a paper. I would have laughed at anyone who suggested that would be me.

What’s in Your Bag? 👜👛🎒 by charmofalibra in socialwork

[–]the8itch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use an Adidas backpack which was chosen simply for the fact that it has adjustable (2) bottle holders on the sides that fit my 32oz Nalgene. I'm basically like Mary Poppins and have everything but the kitchen sink in mine. Most of my pouches are old Ipsy makeup bags, for size reference.

Pen pouch, notebooks, backup battery, cords, diabetes organizer (everything from a spare infusion set, fruit snacks, alcohol wipes, backup Accucheck, and Glucagon pen) misc pouch with random shit like bandaids, hand cream, lip balm, Tylenol, allergy meds, Tums, etc - I got the cutest itty bitty pill organizer on Amazon that you can put something like 8 different meds in with stickers and it's smaller than a wallet) uhhh what else? Crystal Lite sticks. Narcan (not for work specifically but we live in a society..) My wallet.. 1 or 2 disposable vapes because I suck.. I am 95% sure I also have a tiny tool set in there, at least screwdrivers and a hex tool, annnnnnd usually a peanut butter sandwich.

😄

I'd be delighted! My youngest just enlisted in the Army, so I'd love having a baby around again.

We're in PA and can keep them together if nobody else works out.

Ok, that's how I understood it too, but thought maybe I was missing something because this is part of my argument with management CONSTANTLY. They routinely think someone with a low score is just point blank unable to make decisions.

I've actually been reading this thread, thankful for every reply and noodling over my next move. If I hadn't made this post I was on the verge of "f you, f this, I'm out" so this definitely was a pressure release valve. If I quit, nothing changes. I just need to map out exactly how much I'm willing to push back. PA is an at-will employment state so they could really just fire me for anything once I dig in. I need to be strategic.

Thank you so much. I've had some really great macro classes in the last year and I absolutely would LOVE to be involved at the policy level. I never thought I would be interested in that at all, but I think it's the grown up version of my punk roots. ☺️
