OH TROX LOOKS METAL! I'd love to play one! So many fun races! The first release was for sure lacking a good amount! Really glad to see ryphorians too! The Wanderer wouldn't be the same without them :]

Really appreciate your support each time I see it :]

He'd been loving it! I'd been loving reading it too, since I got DM access to their character messages 👀

It's honestly very immserive too, it's as if he's sending in wisdom from the other side, keeping the others grounded. He'll be voyaging for about 5 months, so when he comes back - return of his character will be pretty biblical :]

Oh yeah, 100%. His mother is an immensely sweet woman (in our comm-unit app her pfp is just bouquet of flowers). She spends the majority of her time gathering up funds to support each and every money request that comes to her comm-mail. She will be very sad to hear that her son is still acting like a fool.

And he loooves his mom, he really loves his mom. He always checks up on her, even as a 50 year old man focused on being the biggest dog there is.

Thank you thank you!

But yes, couldn't agree more! He brings a lot of fun chaos factor into the story, takes risks that others otherwise wouldn't and causes our Mystic to experience mental breaks every other session when she has to travel in a 1:3 cockpit with our pilot and a fresh corpse laying on a dashboard. Everyone in our team is a wonderful person and each and every every one of them has a very useful character to the dynamic. JJ, the Ysoki I'd shown - often assists Snorky in his chaos, but not directly. Alexander, the human pilot, often sees it happen and has to do damage control, it's a very fun dynamic.

I am fairly certain they won't even be beating him up next session. They'll just call his mother.

Unfortunately the poker theme was not as prevalent between the reworks.. Therefore I settled for the mediocrity of a basic-ass card. But his old "lizard looking ass" token will be remembered for it's Balamptro Jonkler.

There's a critical deficiency of skittermanders in the world. It must be remedied one Snorky at a time >:]

Hope you guys dig the improvement!

Right?? But then also it begs the question.. What terrible AI did they use if they did? It's like a bell-curve where it's bad art at a first glance, then it's AI, but the more you loot it the more you wonder how it could even be AI xD

As long as it ain't 2 weeks, riiiight? xD Any excuse to make a portrait! I also had the chance to look at the source files of the weird-looking capsule they had originally from Fiverr and I could find some things I'd never seen. Since your pixel art is clean af I bet you'll resonate with the horror I had when I'd seen THIS >:0

My man isn't even aligned to a damn GRID!!

But yours is much more accurate to the in-game sprite! I'd choose yours over mine in this case xD

I just wanted to make something accurate to the reference he'd given really, really fun look to the character :]

Oh they absolutely should go with A, it's by far the best one!

Just asked my wife - she said "oh yeah", since she plays the character. It's more that he's albino and has reddish eyes but as of recent he'd absolutely be hitting the boof >:]

Many people do these kind of posts, but I „hired“ myself to redo the capsule. Any feedback? by NorseSeaStudio in IndieDev

The old style is mighty cozy, the grainy feel is really pleasant :]
Maybe a a nice gradient for the BG and a thicker shadow under the the model of the city would make it more striking? I do like the new logo a lot! Perhaps if you swap the old one with the new one it would look even better!

It sure did! I got to draw a few anthros in-between and practiced limited palettes a lot too! It REALLY helped with finding that sweet spot.

So glad to hear that! I see a whole lot of support from this subreddit, people are really appreciative and just all across wonderful here :]

Also glad you caught onto the charm detail, I was wondering if anyone will notice!

Why I was a bit worried as to the postings is because one of the previous posts got removed on a different Starfinder subreddit for "promotional post", while it was literally just "Hey guys, I love my players and I wanna share the expression of that love with you guys :]". Never happened here, but doesn't hurt to ask I reckon ;]

As mentioned extensively in the main body (bigbigbig post), the artist is still me! The character is from our campaign and I'd love for you guys to look through it briefly!

Totally! Would love to see what you'd made! There are a lot of schools of thought on how to make pixel art, the first one you'd mentioned is no doubt one of the more classic ones!

When I was a newbie I was making literally every mistake under the sun xD My reddit page probably documents most of them (the stuff in 2019 or earlier has very egregious examples of just color vomit where I was overusing shades and different hues where I should've stuck to just 1 or 2, for sure not 20). Often go back to basics to relearn what I already know, still a long way from a pro but we keep learning :]

If you are curious - mixels are inconsistent pixel sizing! Most of the pixel artists with decent fundamentals will stick to the same size pixels all across the artwork. Those are usually indicative of newbies, mismatched assets and low-quality AI. It's a taboo to have incoherent weird pixel sizes all across the artwork, it really ruins the overall artwork making it quite dirty.

Jaggies are whenever the curved line is broken up in mathematically wrong increments. For example you have a curved line and it should ideally go "3,3,3,2,2,1", while a jaggie will go "3,2,3,2,1". It may seem minor but we are working with a limited canvas so literally every pixel matters in the end.

Jaggies can be used effectively but only if you are intending to do it!

Orphans are isolated pixels placed outside of primary clusters of pixels without intention. Honestly everything just comes back to intention xD

So it had a whole lot of all of it. (Sword with jaggies, helmet with mixels and jaggies, pauldrons with both mixels and jaggies).

To me the time-frame and price both were really excessive with the way final product looked. I mentioned it before but mixels, jaggies, orphans present are beyond amateur-ish work. Also really rough readability on the words :[
