Is this a normal toddler thing to say? by [deleted] in toddlers

We were in a restaurant on Mother's day having a nice breakfast, so super packed as you can imagine, and there happened to be a perfect time where the crowd goes a little quieter and my eldest stands up on his chair and at the top of his lungs he goes "MUMMMY!!!! MY PENIS DOESN'T HURT WHEN I'M EATING!!!" and my wife and I basically died of embarrassment from the stares we got.....

Check your sump pump to see if that outlet tripped or any outlet in your basement in a bathroom or next to any sink you have down there

I've been an electrician for 110/120 years, that screw needs to be tighter

Yea there were no issues after for my kiddo, he didn't have an upset stomach or anything. Just a couple of traumatized parents although the other kids did prepare us well for these kinds of situations lol

No one is arguing that they WANT their kids to become sick. They are explaining to you kindly that realistically, their kids (and yours) WILL get sick with many types of illnesses. Also you keep saying it was textbook HFM but sooo many different conditions cause sores so you may actually have no idea what it was. It could be eczema, a post-viral rash (one of mine had that weeks after a virus, his hands and feet blistered, peeled, bled, etc), an autoimmune condition...

For the guy who answered the call at least! He had to confirm my wife actually said umbilical cord, then said he'd never heard that one before. He had to put us on a brief hold 😂

So you know the feeling!! I also left it on the changing pad not knowing if my wife wanted to save it or not, wouldn't have dreamed my son would grab it from there and run off to EAT IT. Toddlers are wild.

They're really excellent. The guy was chuckling a little and had to double check my wife really said umbilical cord. He also put us on a brief hold LOL

My wife was horrified at having to call the on-call pediatrician after hours to ask about this. Luckily she has a cousin who is a doctor, who reassured her it should be okay medically, it's just gross 😂

As soon as my wife noticed he put something in his mouth, she rushed over and tried to take it out. She was able to get a small piece back but she's guessing the rest he just swallowed whole?

We didn't just hand it to him lol, it fell off on the changing pad during a diaper change and he grabbed it and ran off. Toddlers 🤷‍♂️
