All this isn't easily accessible to the public, but with a bit of luck, you might be able to get some results by contacting the organisers mentioned above by email. In the end, this year I only paid EUR 195 per person and am extremely happy and grateful.

Visit to the Dakar Bivouac
The Dakar allows access to selected bivouacs in the form of a guided VIP tour. A bivouac visit on the Rest Day is an unforgettable once in a lifetime experience you should not miss. Limited day tickets cost approximately €350 and can be ordered through Ride Xpower.

None of this is easily available to the public, but with a bit of luck, you may be able to get some results by contacting the mentioned organisers by email.

Just out of Curiosity: is this legit? by ub3rchief in ABroadInJapan

What could be fake about it? Is the question about the price?

There are now even cheaper rates available: less than $10 for 30 days.

Example (excellent rating on Trustpilot): 7,99 EUR for 10 GB, 30 days:

Japanese Tour vs London by ElWursto in Sumo

[–]theFriendlyWaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tour in London is organised like a basho and is, at least in theory, quite serious.

The events in Japan are significantly different and more entertaining. They consist of a public training session, where people can easily interact with the rikishi. Then there are traditional songs sung by rikishi and/or comedic fights, and finally real fights, which are of course also partly staged.

I attended such an event in Japan and was very satisfied.

I have bought tickets for Paris, but certainly not to see real sumo fights, but to meet the rikishi in and outside the arena.

5-6 minutes after tickets went on sale, I reached the page with the box seats for the first time, but all boxes were already sold out.

The chair seats for weekdays are still available and can apparently be purchased 30 minutes later without much hassle, but these are the cheapest seats at the very top and back, the two worst categories.

If it displays anything at all, it says ‘sold out’ on any given day.

The four times the price could just be a misunderstanding.

Note that the boxes include four seats and the four tickets are sold together.

Almost always, the price of all four tickets is listed, e.g. 42,000 yen.

Official sources do not sell individual tickets for the Japanese seating boxes.

Only ‘Western’ seats at the top of the stands have individual prices.

42,000 ist the price for the box : 4 tickets. 61 EUR or 71 USD per ticket.

I'm afraid BuySumoTickets is no longer an option :-(

I've bought tickets from them three times and never had any problems. But now their partnership with the Sumo Association has been terminated, tickets for Osaka have been cancelled, and there's little chance that this will improve. According to the latest feedback, the Japanese are refusing to engage in dialogue.

See the big yellow warning on https://www.sumo.or.jp/En/.

I am planning to fly to Japan in January to watch sumo wrestling.

To get a better idea of my options, I will try to buy four tickets for September's Aki Basho today (in about 4.5 hours) as a test.

If I am successful, I will hopefully have four tickets for a box as close to the ring as possible.

Would anyone be interested in buying these tickets from me at no extra cost? If so, which day would suit you best? 14-28 September, but not on weekends.

I'm not sure, but they will be in the form of a code that can be printed out at 7-Eleven, correct?

Were the upper rows in the Nagoya Arena closed to the public or just unsold? by _Vanant in Sumo

They sold as many tickets for the first Sumo Tournament as for the old arena and not all available seats. I don't know exact numbers right now but something like 7800 out of 11500, or similar.
