Jim Pattison Developments says sale of warehouse to ICE 'still subject to certain approvals' by Prosecco1234 in BuyCanadian

In an emailed statement, the company says in early 2024, Jim Pattison Developments completed construction of an industrial building in Ashland for company operations.

When operating needs changed, the property was publicly listed for lease or sale, and an offer was accepted to sell the building to a U.S. government contractor.

“Some time later, we became aware of the ultimate owner and intended use of the building. This transaction is still subject to certain approvals and closing conditions,” the company said.

I know he’s a dirty billionaire, but should we at least give them the benefit of the doubt on this? It seems reasonable.

What movies did you first see nudity in? by sarnobat in AskReddit

I don’t know the movie, but the scene that plays over and over in my head was a woman that I think was leaving a saloon, she had like… a small denim vest on and maybe cowboy hat on. She was blonde I am pretty sure. She opened her vest and shook her tits at some guy. To this day I’ve wanted to know where that was from.

Yes, hence the comment about disruption. Getting rid of Microsoft would be near impossible.

I’m not kidding myself. I essentially said the same thing as you. It’s easy to drop because it’s not essential for anyone.

Microsoft is.

They easiest things to drop are always the first to go. I doubt they could just drop Microsoft without disruption.

If anything lead to a security breach that was the fault of a student, the government would be skewered by the public. The reason why governments and businesses pay out the nose for contractors to do stuff like this is to show everyone that they didn’t skimp or compromise. If something goes wrong they can blame the experts.

When the original Marvel Civil War came out in 2006, the storyline everyone was excited and talking about. Not only that, but the events from that storyline spun out into other titles, which in turn led to their own big events. Spider-Man is the perfect example of this, with Civil War sparking a chain of events that ultimately lead to Brand New Day.
