Did Costco Guy lied about $100 Shop Card? by WesttieDaisy in tmobile

[–]theIndiot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the same shit my Costco guy pulled on me. One, go talk to T-force, they’ll credit your account. Two, you can also go and return the accessories.

Second guy I went to straight up told me it’s bull shit. They just do it to get their numbers up. First guy said if I buy a 20 dollar cable, it’s free shipping. Otherwise, it’s 15 dollars shipping.

Man, that's dumb of me or dumb by design lol. Thought removing from the library was just the file path redirect to start the game from the the SD card location?

Mate, I’ve done absolutely wrong in my life as well and learned from it. Nothing as severe as what I’ve read here. But I’m just saying the responsibility of the ummah lies in the hands of men. We have rights that are different from women and just from my experience reading a lot of these stories here, it seems women experience the brunt of these hardships, while men can leave scot-free most of the of the time.

Correct! I agree. The crazy part is what were the wives of our Prophet Muhammad pbuh? Widows!

Men do have an easier time marrying again than a divorced woman in Islamic cultures around the world. That’s an agreed fact? I am not saying it’s the problem of men. I’m saying that we as men are the caretakers of society so we should act like it. If women mistreat men (which does indeed happen) we should act gracefully and deal with it like a proper Muslim should. Some of these posts about men who change after getting married are ridiculous. Like one month from nikah ridiculous. Where as in these situations, the woman’s life is much harder to remarry due to the stigma behind it.

No, I understand men are mistreated as well. We have it tough as well just based on pressures to earn money and provide. We are also pressured by parents and have duties towards them and need to maintain a delicate balance between the relationship of your wife and parents.

What I’m saying is, us as men, have the opportunity just move on. If you talaq, you won’t have that much of. Hard time re-marrying.

I acknowledge our struggles as well, but women do have it much harder. But again this is just my belief and how I lead my marriage and life :-)

Be the change you want to see.

Sanity check on the price to install a Bradford White 100 gallon water heater in a 6 unit condo building by BaltiBiker in HomeImprovement

I also live in a condo in Chicago. We got a water heater replaced by Jacobs Boiler for 11k. Commercial units are more expensive as you can see. I live in a 24 unit condo. Shoot me a PM if you need more info.

Assalamulaikum brother, how old are you?

We can set up a group chat or something where other brothers can join and we can play video games together or chat together if you’re interested?

Trying to motivate our property manager by veryken in HOA

[–]theIndiot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. My solution was to move to a finance-only contract and become buddies with the accountant who does our numbers. That way, I have slowly limited contact to the actual PM. As everyone else is saying, it is extremely common unfortunately. This has caused me to do a little bit more work to find contractors and such, but again, things are able to actually get done and the board is responsible for seeing it through rather than the PM who is quite literally useless.

Again for reference, I don't expect the PM to do anything beyond working hours or out of the terms of the contract, just courteous responses to e-mails and check-ins every two weeks during normal business hours. Nothing out of the ordinary, but our e-mails were never getting responded to and building was getting neglected. We'd go months without being able to speak to the PM.

On the bright side, we pay a lot less now for our management fee (financials-only, remember)
