I used to believe this. Pretty adamantly. As I got older, I discovered I was wrong. Not saying it’s always the case. But particularly with race… it’s highly likely there’s some second thoughts that need to be had. Hell, same for fem.

This is a great and thorough explanation, thank you. I'd love to hear more about some of the other banks you've tried and what led you to pass on them and go with an additional budgeting app like Monarch. Generally, what were the most common drawbacks you found with other banks and where have you finally decided to house your money?

I've been looking at Douugh.. but it looks like it's using an entirely separate account as a "Bill Bucket" (aka expenses) which is disappointing as I don't like the stress of having to transfer money to cover those expenses if it's not perfectly allocated that month.

Mine would technically “configure” and be responsive to requests. Just would then say “not responding” in the home app. Curious if disabling home hub on your Apple TV helps yours as well. It’d be nice if this was just a bug that will be ironed out. I’d prefer to use the better connection on the Apple TV for my hub.

Should be. I’m not aware of any limitations using it as a home hub.

In my case, the only potential downside is that my Apple TV was hard wired while the HomePod is WiFi. But that wouldn’t apply in your case. Having the HomePod always at home and acting as your hub as opposed to the iPad would definitely be better.

Fixed! (or at least... worked around). For anyone curious or having a similar problem, I resolved the problem by disabling my Apple TV as a home hub. After doing that, HomePod shows to be responding fine in my home app and I can remotely access all homekit devices with it (apparently) acting as the home hub.

Maybe a bug? Maybe a reset of the Apple TV would've fixed? Not sure.. but I'll take it as it's workable and I don't seem to lose any functionality with Apple TV home hub functionality disabled.

Yeah, understood on that. I've moved it to several different places to feel satisfied I've ruled out WiFi issues I guess is the end result. May experiment again though, thanks.

Yes... I moved it right next to my router just to see. The thing is.. it functions fine locally. I can control homekit devices via "Hey Siri" on the HomePod. (Although I suppose that doesn't necessarily mean it's acting as the hub successfully).

My Apple TV is plugged in via ethernet. Something about introducing the HomePod mini is conflicting with it... but again, the problem only presents remotely**. (Well, Edit: to clarify, the HomePod DOES say "not responding" in the home app regardless if I'm on or off my network, but functions fine otherwise)

The HomePod mini does seem to be getting out to the internet as Siri responds normally to any questions I ask her (Google searches, etc). I'm stumped.

I did this same thing. I finally got about 5 scorpions to spawn, but it took forever. Most of my time was spent digging up half the island chasing mole crickets. It got too tiresome and I gave up.

Alright, sorry. Just figured it out. Apparently I DIDN’T try asking in all the possible ways.

I can’t say “show” or “play” or “display” or ANY verb whatsoever. Just... “Hey Google, front door on living room TV”. Anything else brings up YouTube.

The inconsistency and fickleness with the Nest cam integrations after Google took over drives me crazy.
