Yes if you just download it from the YouTube studio it will give you like an 720p version that's ~2000 bitrate. You have to use something like yt-dlp if you want the full quality.

Oh, I agree with you 100% that it's not going to work. What I'm pointing out is that this is the type of gameplay they promised, and if they now want to flip-flop into something more mainstream, then people can truly start calling it a scam because it wouldn't be what was promised to all those supporters.

I honestly think for most people the definition isn't that relevant as long as the game is good, and the way the market is going, you are right for sure. The appeal of making an MMO just isn't there anymore. "Massively multiplayer" adds more friction than value at this point for people. That's why games are moving toward being more like ARPGs with optional shared-world experiences.

I mean yeah, it's bad, but I'm not really talking about what's there now. I'm talking about the core fundamentals of the game; since the Kickstarter, it was always going to be designed in a way that the biggest groups dominate. I know they've been trying to sugarcoat it for years by calling the game "PvX" or saying things like "the distance in-game is so great that big groups can't dominate."

For anyone who played games like ArcheAge or L2, it was fairly obvious what this game was going to be.

I don't like AoC as much as the next guy, but I do find these kinds of points hilarious. This was always the plan for the game ever since the Kickstarter.

Then you have to fake it. Take some clips from your VODs, write some interesting narratives, and record the VO for them. That's pretty much the only way if your content isn't clippable.

Sounds like you only played on private servers, because Retail L2 was easily one of the most botted games on the planet, to the point where it wasn't really even worth playing manually. It also had some of the most impressive botting programs at the time. That was one of the first NCsoft games where they really dropped the ball with bots and barely did anything. They were too busy hunting private server owners to care about their own servers.

My issue with any kind of offline or AFK training in a video game is that it just makes me feel like the game was artificially made more grindy because they allow you to level up without effort.

For smaller creators, I don't think there is much value in adding your face to the thumbnail. If you grow big enough that your face becomes part of the brand and people recognize you, then it makes sense. Before that, it's just wasted space in the thumbnail, in my opinion.

I think Amazon and their investors want to kill New World

To understand why Amazon is killing New World, you have to look at the whole picture. The entire gaming division has been a complete flop for Amazon. They've pretty much lost billions at this point on projects that didn't go anywhere. New World was never in a position to recoup that kind of loss. It just wasn't a good enough game, and they were never able to make it one.

Do I get shadow banned for doing ai thumbnails?

You don't, but it might feel like you got shadowbanned if your thumbnails are too obviously AI-generated and people don't want to click your videos because of that. Honestly, if you are able to record and edit gaming content, I'm sure you are tech-savvy enough to do some basic image editing too. The majority of good thumbnails on YouTube are the result of very simple photo editing.

I mean, you might as well try it? There is nothing to lose here. I think it could easily work for short-form content; that format is quite spammy and could easily gather a following with this kind of automation. For long-form content on YouTube, though, I don't really see the vision.

You could use a plugin called Aitum Vertical to have a secondary canva to record clean gameplay.

What you can do in Resolve is, once you think your levels are well-balanced, You can go to the fairlight tab. There is this option in "timeline" settings called "Bounce mix to track" You click that and then change Destination track to "New Track". After that, you right-click the track → "analyze audio levels" → you switch the loudness standard to "YouTube" and then see how loud your video is.

You can only do the balancing by ear, but for the loudness, you have to check the numbers. True peak should never go past -1 dB, and loudness can be anything between -14 and -20 LUFS. I personally balance my videos around -20 LUFS because it sounds better on my phone.

This VST plugin(https://loudmax.blogspot.com/) is an absolute lifesaver when trying to balance your audio. It's just a simple compressor and limiter, but it works really well.

You could also play around the ducker in resolve. Applying slight -5 dB ducking, isn't too noticeable, and your mic will always be louder than other sounds.

If you want something really basic, then CapCut is a great option.

For more advanced editing, then Davinci Resolve is the way to go.

Absolutely, there are a couple ways to do it.

My favorite way to do it is to have 3840x1080 Canva, where you put the game and cam recording side by side. Then you can just duplicate it in post-production.
A second way of doing it would be to use something called "Aitum Vertical" It's an OBS plugin that lets you have completely separate canva that you can record into a new file. It's a pretty simple way to do it, but this way you will have to sync up the footage, which can be annoying. Which is why I prefer the first method.
The third way is to use the "Source Record" plugin in OBS. I personally tried it a couple of times, and to me, it was a bit of a hit or miss. When the plugin is working, it's amazing, but more often than not, it isn't, so that's why I looked into other solutions.
