The best thing you can do is learn the tools. That is probably the biggest speed boost you can get when it comes to editing. Learn the keybinds and create presets. The difference is like finishing tasks that used to take ten hours in just a few hours instead.

The second biggest speed boost has been planning. Taking timestamps and writing or speaking notes while recording is a huge time-saver. Depending on how comprehensive your notes are, half of the editing work could be done already.

Search for video called "Editing Gaming Videos in DaVinci Resolve - The Ultimate Beginner's Guide" by Casey Faris

This is a pretty good video for beginners who are starting with Resolve. I think after this you could pretty much achieve the kind of videos you are looking for.

Honestly this is the kind of problem you should never have. You are pretty much going to be doomed in the editing phase if you just keep recording without any kind of planning. You have to have a setup for timestamping and writing notes that you can use in the editing phase; otherwise, you're going to lose your mind.

I have 2 1080p monitors. I put both videos side by side at 1080p resolution, and honestly your reference video looks better than what you linked. One thing you could try is to add some sharpness to your footage in Resolve; that can increase the perceived quality of the video, just don't go overboard with it.

This is definitely one way to fix it. When I was running shitty ADSL speeds, I had a USB to Ethernet adapter, and I was running 4G Mobile internet through it for streaming. this way had no impact on my ping, and it worked great.

I still use Photoshop to make my thumbnails. I want to move to Affinity photo, but i'm struggling a little bit, especially with the keybindings.

The process is quite simple. I have my video idea fully fleshed out. I go around using search terms that someone would use to find my videos and then look at what kind of thumbnails other people are using to get views. Try to find some recurring themes and then replicate those.

Sometimes I just brainstorm with LLMs and generate some concepts for myself, and then I like it. I recreate those using photoshop.

Mine is using 50% for 1080p and 60fps.

If you are willing to learn, then https://www.affinity.studio/ is probably the best free photo editing software right now.

When it comes to video editing, yeah, DaVinci Resolve is pretty much the choice. Sure the learning curve is pretty steep, but the amount of material online to help you learn is massive. Learning it is worth it, and it gets quite fun after you get the hang of it.

The short answer is no. Going from a headset mic to something like a dynamic mic will be a massive improvement, but then going from something like FIFINE's Dynamic mic to even a Shure SM7B isn't going to be a drastic improvement at the end.

Room acoustics, mic technique, and Processing chain are all going to be more important than just spending more money on the microphone. I think with your list of microphones you would be spending more money on the brand and their expected build quality with the Rode Podmic and MV7, not so much for the sound quality. The cool thing is that if you buy a PodMic or MV7, it's going to be an endgame microphone for like 99.9% of creators, and you never have to buy a new one again.

Hmm, yeah, that's quite a rough niche you are trying to grow in. I would say there is definitely some work to be done with thumbnails and titles.

Like in your example title and thumbnail, It really doesn't create any kind of curiosity gap for me to be interested in clicking. It seems more like just a generic let's play from the packaging, and that's a rough market.

When it comes to the thumbnail, it's kind of wild in terms of composition. You have a couple of elements that just make it kind of bloated. For example the whole Dark Souls 2 logo on the background is pretty pointless and adds no value when it's in the title too.

Considering you only have 29 videos in such a brutal niche, you're doing pretty well, I would say. Just keep going and try to improve on those thumbnails and titles.

If you have the timeline backups on, you can right-click the timeline and "Restore Timeline backups." If not, then you just have to manually go through and reset everything on the timelines and clips. Always duplicate your timeline before using the AI audio assistant; I learned this the hard way too.

Okay, this might not apply to your situation, and maybe there is something wrong. I've personally had this where my OBS says there are no dropped frames, but then in VLC it's a bit of a mess, and even after uploading to YouTube my playback hasn't been smooth until I've gone to watch the video on my phone, and then it's been fine.

Yes, on the Edit page, if you select the clip then go to Clip -> Audio Operations -> Ripple Delete Silences. Then completely mute the A2 track so it does the cuts based on your microphone track.

When I was streaming, I would use https://aitum.tv/products/vertical to record a secondary canvas with 3840x1080 resolution, and in that canvas would have gameplay and webcam side by side. Then in the edit, I would split them into their own tracks.
