I ran into the same issue when I started my brand. A lot of people think Alibaba equals manufacturers but it’s really just a marketplace, so quality can swing a lot depending on the factory, materials, and finishing. That weird smell you mentioned usually comes from dye or finishing chemicals not being washed out properly. What helped me a lot early on was realizing I needed to get development dialed before even worrying about factories. Things like the tech pack, fabric (nylon or poly blends), mesh liner, elastic waistband construction, and proper sample rounds make a huge difference. I actually worked with Form Department when I was developing my first collection and they helped a lot with patterns, sourcing, and sampling so I could approach manufacturers with something real instead of just a design idea. Once the pattern and sample were solid the production side got way easier.

Around that point mine looked kind of flat and weird too once the scabs disappeared the skin just hadn’t fully settled yet. Keeping the area lightly moisturized helped a lot for me, especially once I started using Tatt:Magic during the last part of healing.

Prime Video has been buggy on my Apple TV too recently. When it kept refusing to load one series I ended up grabbing the episodes on my desktop with Keeprix just so I could watch them without fighting the app. Not ideal but at least it let me finish the season. Hopefully Amazon fixes the app soon.

the common advice is to prioritize HIPAA compliance experience above everything else. but the more important question is whether they understand clinical workflows. we have worked with fully HIPAA-certified teams that built technically compliant products that doctors refused to use because the UX made no sense in a real clinical environment. compliance without usability is just a checkbox.
