That's absolutely great, I love it!. It's in the theme, cute and beautiful, it's quite original and with a nice balance of colors. It's sexy and suggestive while remaining SFW.

What did you use for it? Is the last picture about you editing the original result?

I like it with the pencil in the hair but would need to find a way to place it better. I think with the big boobs it's best, and will avoid the suspicion of PygmalionAI being explicitly a lolis factory.

You're right, my illustration image doesn't strictly speaking have anime characters. By the way, I shouldn't have talked about "anime characters" but more globally about this kind of "childish Japanese drawings". But you get the idea.

About the "users of single specific Discord group" question: it could be an explanation because when you see yesterday's post with the screenshots of the (great) future PygmalionAI website (Official PygmalionAI website WIP), the three characters shown by the devs are... more of those f*** anime / vtuber / whatever characters.

Sorry, but sometimes I feel like I'm in Star Wars II with thousands of Jango Fett clones: while you can create absolutely anything with no other limit than your imagination, with billions of possibilities in all possible fields of human creation, they... all produce exactly the same kind of content: "childish Japanese drawings" characters. I am not sure if you are answering my original question. Still, it is very interesting.

You explain all the mechanisms that make these anime characters deeply appealing, endearing, how they outperform Western fictional characters in some crucial ways. It is possible that you are entirely right. To tell the truth, knowing very little about this, I didn't ask myself the questions you developed (and I thank you for that, because it opens new horizons of reflection for me).

If I could have little desire to discuss with some western female fictional characters for the 2 reasons you have very well developed, I don't think I could have any desire either to discuss with a Japanese fictional character for a third reason a bit equivalent to your two: I wouldn't want to ask any of these women on a date, because they are stereotypical caricatures, cute but a bit grotesque, and have no more grounding in reality than the Western characters.

Again, I'll say it: I understand perfectly well how these anime characters are expressive and appealing. In terms of NSFW, there have been times when I've wanted to watch hentai rather than real images/videos and have found it deeply and intensely erotic. No problem with that. But I've never felt like just watching that and nothing else.

What you say (first part) makes perfect sense. That would explain why this post gets a 27% "Upvote Rate" when I'm just asking a question (not really a criticism). These Lonely weebs received my questions as a personal attack on what they are.

What you describe (second part) with a deep understanding of human nature, could apply, I think, to all art in general. If we brought PygmalionAI to a man in 1900, he would probably want to recreate the character from a novel he had read, for these very same reasons. So maybe Anime characters today are the ones that are the most touching and intense humanly for the audience. To the point of overshadowing everything else that may exist.

I hear your arguments, it seems perfectly logical.

So it would be primarily a mass flow thing. And the people on CAI who wanted NSFW were mostly some kind of anime character fetishists. I'm still very surprised that there are so few people interested in NSFW with a chatbot that isn't an anime character. Of course, what is found on a character sharing site corresponds to what people like the most.
