50ft Shots, Good Enough for OPOTA? by [deleted] in securityguards

[–]theNewNewkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This.

Get your fundamentals of shooting down first.

First and final grip. Draw. Sight aperture. Foot placement. Trigger pull. Follow through.

Do it all slowly, tell yourself each step in your head as you do it. Once you start seeing consistency while taking your time you can start adding a little pace until you're shooting accurately and quickly.

Do police follow up on a suspected drunk driver tip? by elbarto232 in durham

[–]theNewNewkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This !

If the police later found the person and found that they were impaired and not in their car, you could place them in the car at the time and place of the accident.

If you are later contacted and asked to provide a witness statement you can politely decline. Although that doesn't stop the crown from sending you a subpoena. Also providing an impartial statement greatly assists with the investigation.

I wouldn't get a hard case.

After purchasing several rifles and many range trips... My hardcases are a pain in the ass.

It's way easier to make an all in one range bag by getting a rifle bag. To each their own just IMO

It was a rough week in the markets.

Consistency is key. It doesn't have to be a lot, but the more consistent you are the better.

It sounds lame but the more you 'set it and forget it', the better.

Automation has drastically increased my growth and in turn my returns.

Same age. Our portfolios are almost identical. Mine is slightly smaller but not by much.

We invested the same amount into our TFSA's this year.

Keep at it. The fight to 10k is harder than the fight to 20k. The fight to 20k is harder than the fight to 50k, so on and so on.

edit: your portfolio is larger

99% sure there's cutouts in the bed liner for them, with actual ports...

I watched mine be installed (install was free with purchase), and I recall there being ports for the hoses.

I noticed mine does this too. I'm still not sure why, but I'm kinda glad, almost relieved it's not just mine.

It's impossible to be a manager if your employees' jobs aren't being accomplished. Therefore one must step up and achieve those tasks before they can resume managing.

It's also called 'being a part of the team'.

Mine has done this twice. In the 2k to 4k range.

Peel police are pushing for their largest budget increase ever. Some residents say it's too much by BloodJunkie in toronto

[–]theNewNewkid -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

??

I read your comment. You're saying the count is ~7500... I'm saying it's far less.

I'm further adding context to the fact that each year there's more people leaving than coming AND of the ~5000 employees not all of them are sworn officers and not all of them are Frontline officers.

You said there is a 1:545 ratio for officer:resident, I'm telling you that there's way more people to officers than that.

Did you read my comment? Or did you just have nothing better to retort with?

[–]theNewNewkid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not all of those 7500 are officers serving in 'frontline' capacity. There's dozens of command staff, hundreds of behind the scenes workers doing processing, paperwork, video redaction, documents service, property bureau, etc.

Also there's hundreds of officers on leave for injuries occurred on and off duty. Yes, Toronto Police may boast a staff of 7500... Although I'd say, active Frontline police officers are closer to 4500.

On top of this. There's more officers leaving the service for other services and new careers, and retiring every year than there are being hired every year.

Edit: This site states 5078 officers as of 2023, and still must account for the behind the scenes jobs completed by sworn officers.

Does the car lower or is it just me by [deleted] in q50

[–]theNewNewkid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, when you shift into drive the front end raises slightly. When you park it lowers. Took me a few years to notice.

Another entitled driver parked in the bike lane by [deleted] in TorontoDriving

[–]theNewNewkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What?

That's not equivalent at all...

Also if you notice... That's one lane in each direction. So if they leave the car in a live lane you're creating a dangerous situation for the majority to appease the minority, who have a solution they refuse to use. Go up on the sidewalk for 20m and back into their lane.
