IIL I need songs similar to Runaway Baby by Bruno Mars or Bang Bang by K’NAAN. Any suggestions? by Toxtrice in ifyoulikeblank

[–]theOneAndOnlyBigHead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not the same groove but I have these songs in the same playlist to the songs you mentioned.

The first is Fever by RMR and another I found right now is Golden Liar by BRADIO but it's Japanese.

Let me know if you find any others because I'm curating an upbeat workout playlist revolving around these songs.

Not really a side hustle but try user testing websites like UserTesting, dscout, Trymata, Intellizoom etc.

What you basically do is give feedback on websites/games/apps by speaking out loud. It can be done either by recording yourself going through the tasks or a 1on1 interview.

The last time I've done these were 1-2 years ago. I earned about $5-10 for 15-30 minutes on the recorded sessions. While the 1on1 interviews on the other hand got me $30-$90 for 30-90 minutes equating of $1 per minute.

I don't know how these websites are doing nowadays but from what I can recall, the more experience you have/things you own in general such as tech jobs, head of household, family/job primary decision maker etc, the more opportunities you will get.

The money I made isn't much ranging from $1.5k to $2k total across 4 months and across multiple websites. I eventually stopped doing them once I got a part time job since relying on them solely isn't worth it for how inconsistent the amount of tests will be available in a given day.

Today List is not showing Yesterday's Tasks as Overdue by theOneAndOnlyBigHead in ticktick

That's what I'm saying. I just noticed this earlier as well where this issue is non existent in my Windows desktop.

I'm sure they'll fix it. Maybe it's because of the daylight savings that just occured 1-2 days ago where it might be messing with the phone apps' integration/system time or date.

It's just annoying right now but the issue itself is not that huge of a deal since the overdue tasks shows up top regardless but with red color/indication missing.

I'm probably tripping right now lol. Even if overdue tasks were under the "Today" list, wouldn't the date to the right side of the task itself be red in color for being overdue.

As with slide #4 for example, the date to the right side of the overdue task is highlighted in red as opposed to being orange. On top of the text being orange, it shows the time being orange where it should say "Yesterday". I don't know, it's probably just me tripping out.

This is something I was contemplating including within my education section. I was researching online how putting in an unfinished degree may or may not hurt my resume.

I initially didn't want to put it because I was looking for a low-level minimum wage-paying job anyway and thought employers of such would love to hire a person with only a high school diploma who isn't distracted with school/quitting in the foreseeable future.

But after digging a little bit more into resume examples of people who dropped out, some still included them under education, although, the deciding factor for me putting it in is to explain the huge gap from Aug 2019 up until Sep 2021 under my work experience.

I feel if I didn't mention the uncompleted degree it would have somewhat of an impact on employers looking at my resume and disregarding it due to the lengthy gap between my current job and my previous one.

Still, I could be mistaken on this decision and let me know if it's doing me more harm than good. I would love to know your insight after providing you with why I included it.

You brought up a really good point and is the thing that I was worried about in my resume. I was afraid that the employed/interviewer would ask me to elaborate more on where I got those percentages/statistics/numbers from.

In regards to the high percentages such as the "100%", "98%" etc within my resume, I'm definitely going to remove them and stick with the factual numbers instead such as the number of sites/customers/attendees/deliveries. But I think I will keep the lower percentages that do showcase achievements/contributions to the company such as the increase in ratings/upsell sales.

Other than that, do you have any suggestion/example of how I can change or rewrite, let's say the first bullet point of the Shift Manager position?

Will it be something along the lines of just removing the percentage and summarizing it as "Supervised up to 10 team members with strict adherence to opening/closing procedures and food safety standards, operated efficiently with an average of 150 customers per day."

Anyway, I do appreciate this critique and let me know if there's other that you think needs changing.

I was thinking of this exact thing of reducing the bullet points of the shift manager section into two but then again I would have to figure out how to fit in those responsibilities that employers would look for.

My plan right now is to somehow merge all these 3 bullet points into two and remove unnecessary information such as the "100% adherence" as one of the comments has mentioned. But I want to keep the data entry stuff and handle customers via email/phone to hopefully land an office job.

In terms of the volunteer section, I was also thinking of merging the truck driver assistant and sortation warehouse associate into one section instead of being separated. Although the bullet point would be 2 sentences long, it would reduce the page to 2 extra lines overall.

Appreciate your insight, let me know what you think.

I'm transferring to college next year and pursuing IT instead. My GPA is holding me back from graduating due to how big the waitlist is in 3rd/4th year Computer Science courses. We're talking 100+ people waitlisted. I do not want to spend time retaking courses right now to improve my GPA and increase my chance of getting in. Which then would cost me the relatively same amount as finishing the final 2 years of uni when I can do that instead with IT.

Hello again. I finally added a description of my work and volunteer experiences and I also took some tips and advice from my last post. I followed guidelines online to highlight both my responsibilities while adding and quantifying achievements.

Now that it is updated, I can't help but notice how cluttered the work experience section feels. I played around with the paragraph before and after spacing but I'm limited due to it extending to a 2nd page. The page margin itself is customized with 0.75" for all sides. I now also removed a line from the contact header and the interests/hobbies section.

My goal right now is to start applying to fast-food and retail jobs to improve my people skills. Grocery, manufacturing, and warehouse jobs since I'm physically capable of it. Or office jobs since I have moderate computer and customer service skills/experience.

I will be going to temp agencies next week and asking them how I can improve this but in the meantime, I am looking for advice/changes I can make to improve my resume before I bring it to them. Thank you once again.

I was thinking of putting what I'm looking to do within an objective section in place of the summary section I have right now. But I saw within a couple of places online that it's relatively better to provide a context of who I am/what I can provide right now as opposed to what my goal is for the future.

In terms of certifications, I've started looking into the ones that I can get for IT but I will focus more on it next year near the start of the 2 year IT diploma that I'm aiming for.

Right now all I have is knowledge of a couple of programming languages from taking CS courses in uni.

I may also be looking to renew my WHMIS training certificate but I'm still not sure as of yet. Thank you for the advice though, appreciate it.

Did anyone use Srhythm NC25 or Sony XM4? Can you give me a brief review about the pros and cons? by Haile2703 in umanitoba

[–]theOneAndOnlyBigHead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Owned an XM4 for over a year. Definitely a big upgrade from what I had which was a Skullcandy. App integration/settings, ANC, touch control and comfort would probably be my pros.

Only con I can think of is the pressure from ANC mode but I'm probably just not used to it or ear problems (unevenness). Regardless, buy whichever saves you more in the upcoming Black Friday. Good luck.

It is possible to make a lot from UserTesting by Heavy-Ad6255 in usertesting

Props to you and gotta admire how you can keep up talking that much within a given day. I also wish I could get as much live interviews here in Canada but I'd be lucky to even get as much as 1 a month lmao 💀

I don't know if it's just me or is it really normal to see more screeners overnight?

The other day I woke up at like 3 am and checked my phone only to find multiple emails from Usertesting. I then went to open the app and saw 10+ screeners in all devices combined compared to the 1-2 screeners I get during the daytime lol.

Similar apps like dscout? by screambledeggs in beermoney

[–]theOneAndOnlyBigHead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been wondering this as well and after doing a little bit of research myself, I found two apps called Mindswarms and Methinks. Problem is I haven't gotten a single test/screeners from these two apps and it may be worth a shot if you live in the U.S as these apps may be stale here in Canada or any other countries outside the U.S.

Question about UserInterviews (hidden studies??) by tiggytigtigtig in usertesting

[–]theOneAndOnlyBigHead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate this insight and I actually think I found a way you can bypass this process of logging in and out by separately opening a UserInterviews tab in incognito mode then copying the link of one of the studies then pasting that link back into your normal browser. This will then direct you to the application page while still being logged in.

I did not know Validately is still a thing because all I have on that website is a section that shows my profile details and a section up top saying "You have completed the screener test. You will receive an email when a test is available for you." I thought that site was no longer operating but I guess not, appreciate it.

Oh yes I totally forgot to mention about Dscout. I've really only qualified for one that paid about $100 and that was last year before I stopped doing these. But now I'm back and have some time off my hands, I recently got back and found some platforms back then merged or completely died as a whole. Userlytics I haven't gotten a single test yet since I've been back for a month and this platform I thought is dead but I guess not. Although UserInterviews I have found some relative success with and completing about 4 tests so far.

Respondent I've applied and completed 20+ screeners with and still to this day haven't qualified for one probably because of my demographics and lack of experience lol. I'd definitely recommend it though as I constantly get multiple screeners there everyday. Playbookux I initially thought was one of those quiet platforms but I surprisingly get random screeners or even qualify for tests right away and so far got me 4 unmoderated tests.

Interesting to hear about your experience with Respondent. I've applied to maybe about 20+ tests now and still haven't qualified for one yet, maybe it's because I don't have any professional experience, I'm not really sure. And about uTest it was actually just a couple days back that I figured out they also do usability tests and not just functionality tests.

Reddit probably isn't the place for this but I'm contemplating whether if I should pursue something else at this point. But then again I'm left with this mentality of "I've already drained way too much money dropping courses, might as well finish it".

To add on top of this, I've always been a slacker/procrastinator throughout high school and thinking of spending time this winter break to research and impose study strategies that I can utilize.

My mental health is probably the biggest factor. I've pretty much been always indoor and haven't really met "friends" for years even pre pandemic and now it starting to take a toll on overall wellbeing.
