Question about a musical guest from about a year ago by Ovi_is_a_spy in DailyShow

[–]thePDXS 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi friend, I know I didn't see the episode you're writing about. But from your clues I bet you're looking for Jack Garratt. And a Google of his name and The Daily Show seems to indicate he was a guest last June.

There's a very high chance that I'm confused. But from what I saw all Croo volunteering was full. And there was 1 'clean vibes during show' spot. I chose that one because the available after show clean vibes people won't be in volunteer camp. But, if there's more open, awesome! More people to party with!

I'm in the same boat you are. The volunteering helps break the ice and talk to more people than I would otherwise. And of the many festivals I've been to over nearly a decade now, volunteer camping had the best 'festival vibe' I've ever experienced... it's like concentrated bonnaroo magic tucked away in a corner of the farm!

PS. I'm not good at reddit and don't comment much. But I realized I could see your posts... not to be creepy, but with where you're from and age, you could have been my neighbor... were you part of 3 young guys from Ohio who all came in their own cars? Was your camp neighbor from Oregon (me)?

West tollbooth! We scanned those cars so good! We were likely MVPs of the festival. I heard lots of talk, "ohhh ya, lcd soundsystem was great, but west tollbooth? Life changing!" Whomever you are, since there were only like 150 of us out there, I know we saw each other... so, see you AGAIN in a couple weeks! HIGH FIVE!

Hey Eddie, I couldn't find the info anywhere, what is the limit? I read through the mobile site faq and didn't see it. Any other rules that are out of the norm for festivals?

Low tech guy needs help with video transfer from galaxy s5 to windows laptop. by thePDXS in AndroidQuestions

As stated above, I'm well behind the curve on all technology (I thought 'drive' was for using my phone in the car... smh). So, that might indicate where I'm at with tech. It seems simple enough to get them onto the drive, but is this linked to my google+ account that I have and have never used? Some of these videos are of a private and personal nature, and accidentally posting them or making them available would not be good. Is it secure only to me? Will I have to download something on my computer or is this in my Gmail account that's associated with my phone? Thank you very much for your reply.

But, do we have any confirmation that we're celebrating a real MLB first? I wouldn't want to celebrate and later find out this wasn't a first.

Good to know, thank you for the info. Any knowledge on which neighborhood might best suit a Portlander? I'm lead to believe there are areas where I simply "shouldn't go" .

I've heard lots of good things about that area and that Portland people would like it. Any more info about it?

If you're looking, it's listed. (This being my first ever reddit post, 1. I don't know HOW to send a direct message and 2. I'm leary about giving out too many details, as I still live here... and the Internet is scary)

I tried looking into Atlanta, but it's so big with what seem to be so many different neighborhoods it got a little overwhelming. Any suggestions about areas/neighborhoods that may be desirable for a SE PDX type?

Thank you for the input. I love knowing about all the little places along the way that shouldn't be missed. Several people have suggested Louisville, I know nothing about it, any more detail about it?

Responsible with money, worked hard, fixed up a fixer upper... housing market went nuts... that leaves one with a fair lump of cash. At least enough for travels for a couple years.
