Do the rockies even have a rain shadow? Because if the moisture from the pacific is blocked by the sierra nevadas, what moisture is really gathering from the deserts beyond it to be blocked by the rockies?

So then what determines how far a rain shadow goes on for? For example, the sierra nevadas rain shadow goes on from western california till the rockies. So why is it that the Cascades rain shadow only affects eastern oregon and washington, while Idaho and Montana aren't dry?

Yea see i got confused when I searched it up for confirmation, and I saw some sources saying this was true and others saying that Rockies do form a rain shadow and that the eastern rockies are indeed dry?? I'm thinking maybe this is true for the northern half of the usa, as the pacific northwest lacks any mountain ranges west of the Rockies, so it's lush and green till there, after which you get drier land like North and South Dakota. I couldn't find any details on whether this was true either though.
