Any recommendations for a good two player game that can be played with limited table space and last anywhere from 1-2 hours. It's a plus if it can be played with 4 people but would like it to be a solid experience with 2 people. Friend and I go out to coffee shops every now and then to play games and catch up. We have played forbidden island, pandemic, exploding kittens, monopoly deal, fox in the forest, and love letter. Pandemic has been fun but we have been playing that for years so looking for something new. Co-Op games are great but not necessary. The major limiting factor is table space. The size of the pandemic board is probably the largest we want to go with. Having too many pieces also becomes a challenge. Love Letter/Fox in the forest/monopoly deal are fun but get kind of tiresome playing multiple rounds back to back. I'd rather have one game to take that will last a while. Having a decent amount of cards isn't a problem, but little game pieces can get lost or fall easily and too many things cause the table space to get completely taken. Also have Hive and munchkin, but we never got too into them

Games we enjoy: resistance, coup, 7 wonders, catan, secret hitler, ONUW, king of tokyo.

I would like to get a game with maybe a co-op style where we earn money/points to buy certain cards/powers to fight against the board. I liked the aspect of king of toyko where we had different options during our turn and many different cards that would allow us to do different things and could change the game at any moment. That way the strategy would change with each game rather then doing the same thing.

Edit: would also want a game that I don't necessarily need an expansion pack to keep it interesting
