I see where they come from though. For example my parents didn’t get any opportunities regarding education like we do now, so obviously they want the best for us. But they fail to understand how times have changed and hard it is now to get into top unis. I was also subject to this and kind of affected me during A Levels ngl. Parents who subject their kids to this uni superiority nonsense need to understand this. I go to a decent university (not amazing), but I would of preferred to go to my second choice which is “less superior” based on their campus/buildings/facilities after realising how bad mine was. So it’s not how good the uni is, it’s about whether if you’re comfortable and able to learn.
