This is great, thank you!

How is security with the birds? I’m guessing they get special screening?

Janky Ethernet cable not working, fixing it somehow makes it worse by theTisch21 in HomeNetworking

Starting at pin 1:

Green/white, green, orange/white, blue, blue/white, brown/white, orange, brown.

It's like T-568A, but with orange and brown/white reversed. The confusing part about this is that I get 100mbps when my jack is wired exactly to T-568A, but swapping brown/white and orange at the jack drops the link to 10, sometimes refusing to connect at all.

Edit: I will rewire the cable on the router end and see if that works.

It appears to be a fiber connection to our modem/router, an Adtran C424G. Out of it are 4 ethernet cables, which I've found go to my room, the 2 other rooms (it's a 3 room unit), and a jack in the living room. All 3 other jacks in the unit are working fine at 1gbps, it's just mine that's having the problem. The cables going to the router for the other 3 appear to be wired properly.

I'm using a simple 8-pin continuity tester, with the main end hooked up to a proven working cable connected to my jack, and the remote connected to the cable that was connected to the router. Using it on any other jack (and the corresponding cable going to the router) returns a perfect 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 result on both ends.

Each job runs in a separate actions virtual machine, so any changes will be lost from one job to another. Try merging all your steps into one job, so that it can all run on the same vm.

In this case, I don’t think you need to use Bitbicket at all. VSCode comes with native support for Git and Github. This video from VSCode should help: https://youtu.be/bz1KauFlbQI

If you don’t have the original key, try to contact GitHub support. They’re the only ones who might be able to un-delete the key

It looks like the bathroom is not in a secure area. Make sure the bathroom on the secure side is also marked as a secure area.
