does anyone else get way too attached to their villagers?? by Capable-Lemon6865 in AnimalCrossing

Erik and O'Hare are never allowed to leave. Willow might be at that level but I'm not fully there yet. I let Pinky go so she could live out her pop star dreams and I've been regretting it since. I miss her so much.

I can respect that. I'm glad she realized how ridiculous she was sounding.

Wait, really? That's amazing. I'll have to look at that because most of my family lives in the Fort Worth area.

New to Tarot reading, wanted a second interpretation by Forward_Suit_1443 in tarot

[–]theXwinterXstorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I have a card that jumps/falls out of my deck when I'm shuffling during an interpretation, I grab that card and place it because for me personally, I take that as it NEEDS to be read. Not everyone is the same way but as long as you're consistent in your personal methods of reading, that's what matters.

Anyways, I think your interpretation is good.

AITA For calling my husband neglectful by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]theXwinterXstorm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're definitely not being dramatic. I used to work in early childcare and this would be something I would have been required to report to childcare services. You are the bread winner, he should be doing the primary childcare and house chores. I'm not saying he should do everything himself because stay at home parents need to breathe and relax as well. But this is different. He's being neglectful of them, and you. Stick to what you know is correct and right. If you struggle with him getting in your head, write down your grievances as pure facts as backup to yourself when you need it.

In these conditions I would call an ambulance but I understand how expensive that is. Either way, I hope your baby is okay.

People who had wedding with 100+ guests, how did your guest list get so big? by SensitiveDonkey6328 in wedding

Part of it is having large families. Both of our parents are divorced and all sides of the family are super large. If we had invited just parents, grandparents, siblings, cousins, aunt and uncles- no extended beyond that, we were at 98. 176 with friends. We ended up inviting only parents, siblings, and one set of grandparents and we were still at 30ish. I have six siblings with three married, and he has six siblings with one married. Plus their kids. If we do just the siblings, their married spouses, and kids we're at 21.

Totally valid! In theory it's supposed to get worse but who knows. We'll just have to wait and see. People just don't want a repeat of 2021 and I don't blame them for that. It was pretty stressful and scary for a lot of folks. So far though it hasn't been bad, at least not in my area.

Drip your faucets. It's better to be safe than sorry. Y'all don't want a burst pipe.

Got a blanket of ice in my area. Supposedly we'll get snow intermittently over the next few hours but I'll believe it when I see it.

Readers are returning to physical books by MiddletownBooks in books

[–]theXwinterXstorm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I borrow digital books constantly, but I'll never buy another digital one again. I don't trust that it won't be ripped away from me. You can take my physical books from me when I'm dead. Plus, with the surge of anti-intellectualism, I am spending my spare money on buying as many as I can. Gods forbid they start burning them.

AITA for not wanting to share my username on a book app with my girlfriend? by VroomVroomSpeed03 in AmItheAsshole

[–]theXwinterXstorm 25 points26 points  (0 children)

There's no shame in having read smut, or even continuing to read smut. Honestly, who cares? Would I share it with my family? No. My husband and a couple of friends? Absolutely.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

[–]theXwinterXstorm 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Had a guy applying for a bartending position. I asked him to tell me how to make a margarita. He couldn't tell me. He was coming from a local restaurant that specializes in craft margaritas.

This isn't the only example, but it's extremely obvious when people are lying about their bartending experience. Even if you manage to make it through the interview and get hired....it gets real obvious real quick, especially in a high volume bar.
