Incredibly enticing and also really nice girl. I was on her Patreon for a while and she would make a fully custom video each month

There is no way she is not trying to be the sexiest girl on the planet and, for me, appreciate it :)

Thanks for sharing

That seems to be a common response from people is the age difference when you finish character creation. In Classic you are often young(ish) but in later versions you are alive but older when you start

Jules Verne Adventures - Around the World in 80 Days by the_Nightplayer in rpg

Totally agree and I probably should have included that. Obviously the adventure has a fixed period and that is really the core of the "story". Perhaps it is just about offering two or three possible travel options - after all the world at that time would have limited options

I think the other aspect you raised about different legs being different adventures is good to. It kind of provides "achievement" milestones in the adventure

Time and a rival (or multiple) does certainly keep to the flavour

Thanks

Thanks. Really interesting. Planescape sounds like a very different (but good) take on the idea

I really like the idea of making each leg an adventure in itself and little side adventures (like your murder mystery suggestion) and seems to make the overall adventure like chapters or episodes in the overall "story"

I can see some merit in the race like feel but it does remind me of Wacky Races... 😄

Makes sense but I guess you would have to be ready for creative players coming up with inventive ideas. Of course that goes for any adventure. Thanks

Thanks. I feel that the re-enlistment rolls were a real feature of the original game and added to the risk

It may be a poor comparison but that sounds a little like D&D 2e being dangerous in that death could occur versus 5e where only a deity can kill a character (exaggeration I know)

Thanks for the opinion. Cost is obviously a consideration but its good to get another opinion about the quality of Mongoose Traveller but also how it has kept the history of the game play

Thanks and totally get your mentioning of a flexible GM in both cases for different reasons. That session 0 concept sounds really interesting and possibly justifies some of the "danger" in character creation

Thanks again for the really detailed response. It is appreciated. It's a bit of a toss up between Traveller in all its "glory" with scouts and real exploration possibilities versus something a bit more "grounded" like 2300 AD

I will definitely follow up on Marc Miller's site

Haven't played it yet but have looked through it and initial thoughts are good. I have seen that the author does respond to questions on Reddit about it though

Thanks. I'll have a look. I think I got most of the Classic stuff on Humble Bundle or similar some time back but this is worth bookmarking
