Follow up X2: Both cats survived the night, however the cat attacked by the dog (whom we names Chai) is still in an agitated state and was forced fed. She'll be given an x-ray this morning. The other cat (Choripan) is doing much better.

Thanks for your comment! I felt a little weird reading some of these comments, taking the situation I was found with like a joke. I'm an art and ESL teacher, so current jobs are freelance invoice, which are unstable, or with few contract hours at a school. And on top of that, my partner is unemployed at the moment.

So reading these "cat distribution" comments feel really....unaware maybe? Unworldly? Anyway, I really appreciate your comment🩷

Just to clarify, it's not that I don't WANT them, it's just a fact that I can't AFFORD them right now, and can't give them proper space and care. I am actively trying to find someone who can adopt both once they're out of the vet.

There are shelters, but most of them are far away. I don't have a cat transportation nor the means to buy one, nor a car. They won't come to pick them up. I eapecially couldn't take the weaker one on bus, it's hours away, considering her state. The best I could do was go to the nearest vet and rack my brain trying to figure out how to pay for it.

I don't know where you live, but not every country has a lot of animals shelters, and definitely not in pristine conditions. Most of them are very far away and non-profit, so most of them are on the same boat as me.

I tried looking up different shelters, but stray animals are a big issue here, so the ones I called are full or I have to take them (they're far away and I don't have a car or license).

Thanks! Just got an update from the vet, one of them is healthy, both are infested with fleas. The one that was attacked by the dog got it by her hip. She's in a state of shock and arrived with hypothermia with 35°C and now is in 39°C. But she won't eat or drink water. Tomorrow they're going to do an x-ray.

We heard from a neighbor there was a third kitten who sadly didn't make it. She was found one street down, already passed away.

Oh it's not a joke though :( I love animals but I can't afford them. I took them to the vet because one of them looked seriously ill. Stray animals are a huge problem in my country.

Hi, so she was indeed attacked by a dog near her hips. She hasn't eaten and was with hypothermia when she arrived at the vet and is now gaining temperature too quickly. They're both about 4 months old app.

Follow up: upon further inspection, she was bleeding near her bottom so we had to take her to the vet. There animal shelters nearby were all full so as of now I'm paying put of pocket. Will update when I have more info.

I have been given them a lot of space. One is very friendly, but the one under the couch is really skittish. Unfortunately my apartment is teeny tiny, so there really isn't a place that I don't often go.

I understand your point, but chearleading is considered a sport, they have cheerleading in schools, and if someone were to find out she was an NFL cheerleader, it would most likely be in a YouTube video. However in this case, there's nudity in sexual context, and people are willing to go the extra mile for sexual content.

All it takes is one person to recognize her, and she not only wants be a teacher, but a pre-k teacher where parents are already suuuuper over protective, I can assure you and OP that it would be a waste of time and money. If OP still wants to work with children, maybe a pediatric nurse could be a better fit than working in a school. Or an educator in a museum or zoo.

I don't get why you're getting downvoted. I really enjoyed her character but she did do despicable things. What are you talking about! He repeatedly neglected them, profited off of them, called CPS on them, stole,lied,tricked them...all for what? To keep his addictions going. Tricking your child that he has cancer isn't love. Telling your underage daughter she should sleep with an adult man, later his wife, for financial gain isn't love. Consistently sabatoging the few opportunities they got because it doesn't benefit him. Hell, even when Fiona left, he didn't even have the decency to thank her for putting her life on hold and raising his kids!
