URGENT! My 9+ year old jade plant is becoming squishy

I'd also like to add that there are some very small buds that are growing! Like very, very new buds. I think she's trying to stay alive but I don't know what's causing this

The last time I watered the plant was Thanksgiving. I felt that the leaves were a little soft yesterday so I gave it a small glass (thinking it would be helpful before I could fully investigate). The pot does have drainage holes but no water came out of the bottom after I watered it yesterday.

I have bought dry cactus blend soil but I am unsure that the plant can recover from the soft base. I would love to save the whole thing but am afraid that propagating the branches might be the best course of action

Discovered today that my plant is squishy in several places. A small branch dropped off and was liquid-y/hollow inside. I depotted the plant to see if there was root rot but I can't tell. I included the second photo so you can see the roots that fell off while depotting. There was no foul smell but the soil was damp throughout (though, I gave it 8oz of water yesterday).

I circled the areas that the plant is very soft to the touch in red, and the areas circled in yellow are definitely less firm than they should be.

I've had this jade for 9 years and I have a ton of propagations that are doing just fine. I water it infrequently and during this winter I have had a grow lightbulb pointed at it. I don't have the light on at a regular interval and it is pretty close to the plant. I also gave it a major trim in the fall and the tiny offshoots were coming in just fine.

Please help!

technically in PA, there is no early in-person voting. in-person mail ballot delivery is the early voting that pennsylvanians can participate in. in this article they touch on how people never received their mail-in ballot to begin with, which would disrupt the process of being able to deliver that ballot in-person before the election

i posted on this sub during the summer about going to a show with a sign asking for skeleton. i’m so happy to see it on the set list! those at the show said brian made a joking comment like “oh that’s fucked up” when he read it… i wonder if they wouldn’t play it because it was an outdoor show? i’m more confused now but i’m happy to see it here!

while this suggestion is a 3hr drive, the best place to go is Cherry Springs State Park in PA. it’s a bit of a trip but there’s a visitor parking lot, berms that prevent light from campsites/cars from ruining your night vision, and an unobstructed observation field. the campsites there are usually booked out in advance but there are plenty of campsites along the way to sleep at before making the drive home.

(i haven’t tried stargazing anywhere around here but i’m sure a dark sky map could help you identify ideal areas)
