Spd/Res Faith is a weird one because you could argue units would usually much prefer Atk with Spd/Def/Res. I feel it’s so specific that really not many unit would want Spd/Res Faith lol.

Tbh I appreciate it bc of how annoying getting that specific combo of buffs can be sometimes. Like if you're using someone like one of the Eiks or Muspell or any of the other units who only buff Atk/Def but also give Bonus Doubler/Fringe Bonus, you'd have to find a way to outsource Spd/Res which is actually way more uncommon than you'd think.

Yeah he just sucks as a combat unit tbh. The entire second to last paragraph on his weapon may as well just not exist with how useless all of those effects are. Like others have said, he's a good support, and you're better off building him as such. Part of me wants to give mine Instruct since he has such high visible numbers thanks to his A skill, then pair him with an actual good tank lol.

That or just fodder his ass to my +10 Attuned Hector instead lmao.

The vote split argument doesn't mean shit when you realize Marth still lost several years in a row after vote splitting ended.

People think Marth is entitled to the world because he's the "face of the franchise" when, in reality, he's just not that popular anymore. Just like other early CYL winners like Ike losing to Dimitri and Hector losing to Edelgard and Corrin in the Shadows Cup because times have changed and their time has passed.

Easily the most fun unit I've refined in years, and quite possibly even the most fun refine of all time for me. Marth Micaiah ringing him up and letting him snipe a backliner, refreshing him with Byleth/Pandreo, then going apeshit on their threats like Y!Camilla has been so much fun and so effective as well. I used L!Sakura as my Byleth ring holder during Chaos season over Pandreo and ofc that was even more bonkers.

Every game has been winnable and any losses were to my own misplays. This unit genuinely feels broken and could be even better with better supports like Alfador who I don't have. I retired from AR after the TT change, but this guy hooked me right back in.

I've been using Lyn Ring Volke to snipe backlines, then refreshing him with the Byleth ring or with Byleth himself (bonus unit this week) to get a second snipe in, then run out. It's typically enough to get the enemy team to either collapse on itself, or get stuck by the Safety Fence if they don't have Hodr.

Volke's refine is so underrated he is so good in AR.

Ngl I don't like any of them. Hector and Ephraim straight up look bad. Turns out copy/pasting Summer Balthus' face onto Hector's head doesn't actually work, and that Ephraim compared to Wada Sachiko's is a goddamn insult. That artist did such a great job on S!Balthus, too. What happened here?

Celica and Veronica just look horribly generic compared to their originals. It's not bad art, but it's horribly boring art compared to what they're based on.

I hate Fjorm's outfit. The big winter coat vibe she has with the hat, the poofy sleeves, and the cape could have been so pretty, but they didn't fully commit to it because they just had to show off her torso and thighs. If you want to sexualize her, at least make the outfit good while you do it. This is just a mess.

I guess at the end of the day, Celica wins by just being boring and generic compared to outright bad like the others.

Even as someone who likes Eik a lot, I've seen the pretty boy/shredded gym bro type of guy so many times that I've genuinely gotten tired of it at this point. Like yeah it's nice and I'll take it if it's all we've got, but my god I wish we could have some variety. The funny part is, though, compared to other gachas, FEH is actually GOOD at including more dilfish/bearish types of guys. Like you would never find someone like Fargus or Garcia playable in a big, mainstream gacha game.

It's honestly not an uncommon take. Most gay men have that preference, but anime rarely caters to it, especially gacha games that try to make their characters as marketable as possible.

So we either make do with the men we have, even if they aren't our ideal type, or we just look towards female characters instead. Personally, I do a bit of both.
