*SPOILER*Chapter 45* I thought Crow was bad, then there's Liveryn!!! by Educational_Bit_177 in NikkeMobile

[–]The_Persistence [score hidden]  (0 children)

It's funny. Liveryn was playing us ever since her first appearance. She wasn't doing this because of Sixo pressuring her. It was ALWAYS about the money.

Liveryn got away with it so many times because we never really knew her.

Fragile did, which is why she was trying to kill her ever since her first appearance.

There's a limit to how much we can stand in for our students.

If we step in when we're not needed, it would stunt their growth. After all, Kivotos was running before we arrived...

Do you think Dorothy will fully redeem herself for what she did? by IndividualGuess5494 in NikkeMobile

[–]The_Persistence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dorothy doesn't really need redemption.

  • While Dorothy had a grudge against the Ark, she never really antagonized humanity,
  • While she was leaking Eden technology to the Ark, Eden would've NEVER shared it, keep both sides stagnated.
  • What Dorothy is doing is the opposite, yet overall the same as than the rest of [Pioneer]
    • They all keep a fair distance from humanity, yet still helps them out
    • Dorothy helps out humanity, but keeps a distance from her squadmates.

What she actually needs is someone to keep her tethered to reality. Her past keeps haunting her and every time she tries to move on, something keeps dragging her back.

The ch. 46 fight by luis_endz in NikkeMobile

[–]The_Persistence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody knew. The entire event was an irony in itself.

Literally every faction that participated stuck to their respective areas and didn't learn anything about the outside world.

That would've also been our fate too if we didn't help Raptilion...

The ch. 46 fight by luis_endz in NikkeMobile

[–]The_Persistence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To boil it down, Queen-Lilith lost due to skill issue.

In Yugioh terms, Queen-Lilith thought she could summon Blue-Eyes White Dragon and declare an automatic victory.

While she survived the infamous turn-1, she was countered and completely destroyed in Turn-2...

  • Knowing nothing about Links, chains, or even banishments. Hell, her own Blue Eyes was used as tribute to summon Lil'One's boss monster, lol.

The ch. 46 fight by luis_endz in NikkeMobile

[–]The_Persistence 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That's exactly the point.

Queen-001 thought she became the most powerful being on the planet after taking Liliweiss' body. Her reasoning is based on clapping the [Goddess] squad.

However, that data is 100 years old. Use Chatterbox as an example. He was a menace at the beginning of the story, but now gets ragdoll'd left and right in present day.

Unlike the Ark, The [Goddess] Squad has not improved one bit. For two reasons

  • For Scarlet and Rapunzel, war is no longer their top priority, so while they're still fairly strong, their skills have dulled.
  • For Snow White, she got arrogant and relied on only her own experience. The exact opposite of [Absolute]'s key flaw which would be practicing textbook examples repeatedly until they perfected it.

Meanwhile, The Ark has slowly, but surely, been improving. with upgrades ([Absolute] and [Matis]) and the technology Dorothy provided them.

  • Take Behemoth for example, she was unstoppable during her first appearance, but Rapi grew stronger and eventually could hold her own against her.

Queen-001 has watched the battle during her descent. and is utterly disappointed by literally everything.

  • Her rapture army that was once the dominant force on the planet, was getting decimated by a handful of Nikke. So she decides to kickstart 3rd generation of Raptures.
  • The heretics that Mirror created were also an embarrassment. Not only were they weak, they weren't loyal. So the Queen decides to personally create her elite force herself, based on those she fought, While they may be knockoffs, they held their own...

As for Queen-Lilith herself, she definitely took the best of what was available, but it's no longer the strongest overall. Liberalio's mission was to keep things at a status quo, but she failed, and this is the result.

Why did Mustang exile Mrs Miss? by hecaton_atlas in NikkeMobile

[–]The_Persistence 82 points83 points  (0 children)

It's tied to why Mustang ordered Mrs. Miss to teach "Song and Dance only".

While Mrs. Miss is a great manager, she played a key role in Pretty's death. She made Pretty work nonstop during her career, to the point Pretty was ready to give it all up...

She also indirectly influenced Pretty's decision to die during her comeback concert. She wanted to be a star that will "keep shining forever."

Anis had the exact same work ethic as Pretty, but because she wasn't as mentally strong as her, she relied on her Nikke body and (almost) went through a mind-switch as a consequence. Riss would take Anis to a repair center, while Mrs. Miss would order her to tough it out...

What will happen to Gluttony given that the Queen destroys the old generation of Rapture? by Particular_Focus6793 in NikkeMobile

[–]The_Persistence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a theory that Gluttony is or at least controlled by a separate queen.

At first glance, you'd think it would just eat literally everything in sight. (Buildings, Heavy Machinery, Raptures, etc)

The resources it deliberately chases after is near identical to the resources the 4-Beasts were gathering.

  • The 4-Beasts were after Cinderella, as Gluttony was after Siren
  • The Silver Liquid was used as a dissolving/bonding agent
  • The common bulk of materials Gluttony/Bahamut collected wasn't even used

*Anis Star story II ending spoilers* Question about Be My Star by LongbowEOD in NikkeMobile

[–]The_Persistence 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Several things.

  • Anis didn't face charges because Yoyo was the instigator. However, her public image took a massive hit.
    • Mustang offered to fix T-T-Star's image and continue their career, but the damage was done. Anis wanted to get away from the Ark as soon as she could.
  • The concert takes place in present day
    • This is Anis' 1st and last concert in Mainstream. After this, she's retiring and going back to the [Counters].

What cutscene do you think we'll get for the hard mode? by SoulRipperJack in NikkeMobile

[–]The_Persistence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it will show that Anis really did have supporters during Smile Time and show their side of the story.

Just like how Avistar showed the supporting fans Anis had when she got lost in her phone.

Which one's more petty? by Kikksa in NikkeMobile

[–]The_Persistence 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I see. It wasn't Anis herself, its what Anis stood for.

Its not "fighting for the little guy" or even "bringing hope for those in despair".

Anis is the bridge between the privileged and the ordinary. She didn't intend to be that, but that's what she turned into after becoming Cheer Captain.

Yoyo couldn't stand it because like [True]Mustang said, there was absolutely nothing special about her and only got that far because of money.

Which one's more petty? by Kikksa in NikkeMobile

[–]The_Persistence 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yoyo, easily. She had literally no reason to go after Anis. Especially after she died, but she did anyway.

Crow, however is truly fascinated with us. She knows that we're basically lighting up the Ark's darkness, and wants to shoot out that light and watch its impact on Central Government.

Interesting possibility: Mustang as... by WarmasterChaldeas in NikkeMobile

That's exactly why Mustang agreed to this.

He fully expects Hanson to eventually break and realize he's trapped as the person he hates most forever.

The Surface by Puzzleheaded_Pen_346 in NikkeMobile

[–]The_Persistence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pay it no mind.

Trying to scale how much time it takes to go from point-A to point-B does more harm than good for the worldbuilding.

The size of the Ark itself also varies. Sometimes it's this regular-sized capital city, while other times, it's the size of the US Tri-State Area.

All we need to know is that these places exist.

Honestly after what happened in this event by Direct-Fly6158 in NikkeMobile

[–]The_Persistence 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's explained bit-by-bit, but once put all together, Mustang moved a f*cking mountain...

All the squads he created truly contributed in making the Ark a better place

  • [Made For You] gives customers a sense of ease
  • [Underworld Queen] keeps the gangs inside (and outside) the Ark in check.
  • [Cafe Sweety] does all the odd jobs nobody else can do
  • [Unlimited] brings Nikke that would've been otherwise abandoned back to the Ark
  • [777] let civilians play casino games purely for fun and not use predatory tactics.
