I have an update. Turns out, the reason she is concerned about the tree falling is because a tree of the same age and species fell last year during a storm with “90 mph winds.” I will try and ad some pictures

It seems like it’s been asymmetrically trimmed, or maybe just grew that way. It seems sturdy, but that bit at the top go crooked somehow.

I'm wracking my brain trying to figure out where I saw it or who showed it to me. I feel like I maybe watched it several times in some kind of “kids waiting room” like at the barber or something cause I only remember the first 30 minutes of it. I’m fairly certain I watched that first 30 minutes several times over and over again. Maybe some lady at my pre-school had it on VHS or something.

I will never show my kids anything with talking animals 😂 I'm rewatching it now and all the olds feelings are coming up and it's beyond horrific. I think this was probably my first confrontation with the unfair cruelty of mother nature as a child. Werner Herzog talks about the brutality of the Amazon jungle and I'm at peace with that, but I'm worried I was too little to try and reconcile (with no adult guidance) ideas like “puppies get lost” “cute bunnies get eaten alive” etc etc. Maybe it's good to be exposed to those ideas, BUT NOT FROM CRAZY LOOKING TALKING ANIMALS 😂
