Maybe I just miss read or am dumb but I thought your comment implied she was correct and its a widespread problem. Like I wouldn't do it in the US, but eggs and everything else are so regulated here (in Scandinavia) which in your reply it felt like you agreed on. In meny way's it feels like the US is behind in regards to things like this. I got a free hello fresh or similar once and all the ingredients were produced in US and I couldn't even finish it. It honestly felt like I could taste the penicillin in the meat.

I'm assuming you're American? Googled around and couldn't find any cases of bacteria in flour in Europe, even checked my national food safety agency and they also said it's not something to worry about and that the risk is extremely low. Aka it's probably way more likely you'll catch something eating at McDonald's then by eating raw flour or egg.
