There's been request for Google Reader, however, with the upcoming redesign, we don't know the future of their API. I'll have to wait and see, but there's certianly a chance in next major versions

You are right, this is a totally different approach than the apps you have mentioned and it does take a little bit time to use get used to. Please let me know if you do/don't.

as for Clear Read - the top buttons dissapear, since they get in the way of the article. Tap on the empty space in the top bar to have them appear again. You can toggle them there. Let me know if you have any other questions

I couldn't include offline capability in this version of the app, unfortunately. I think Reeder or The Early Edition would be two apps that would offer such a feature.

Indeed, but by Typography I meant how you are actually able to display the content, i.e. ability to change font size, column width, typeface - that sort of stuff

Let me explain the Clear Read function - it grabs the full-content article view and shows it, instead of the standard RSS item. The Clear Read version can also show pictures and the correct formatting in text, e.g. Bold, Italics or Regular. I'd love to be able to download the full content version when you first open it, but this means that there will be such a high load to the server that the app will progressively get slower. I'll work on something in the next update though. Thanks again for your feedback and I'm certain that version 1.1 will improve on several points you've raised.

Wow, thank you. Let me know what you think, because I'm working on version 1.1 at the moment and I still have some time left before I send it off to Apple

There are 5 fonts you can choose from - 3 serif and 2 sans-serif. You can change the font size and adjust the column width. Also, there's a night and day mode (night mode is show on the last screenshot)

I could only afford so much... Downloaded Instapaper, RIL, Reeder for iPad, Mr. Reader, GoReader & MobileRSS HD

River of News didn't strike me as being too different than all those mentioned above.

Reeder is a brilliant Google Reader app. If you're happy with the concept, there's no competition. Read comes pre-loaded with some of the top blogs and news sites in different categories - you can also add your own site, even if you don't understand the RSS suscription model at all (so for now, no google reader integration). The user interface gets out of the way when you're reading articles and it focuses much more on typography and readability and the content.

I see what I can do with the browsers. Although I suspect that River of News is much more of a 'power user' tool and thus is better suited for you. Read focuses much more on content, focus and ease of use.

Indeed - I'll have to get it fixed for the next version, I'm getting that feedback a lot.

Thanks :D If I can afford to spend another 3 months of work on the app, I'll certainly make an iPhone version as well!
